I've done that mascara trick for years. It also works if you put it on regularly then, instead of another coat, just brush the tips. It gives you extra length without the added weight of a whole coat. In any order you do it, only putting mascara just on the tips is a great trick For the lips you could also put the lip balm on first then pick up pigment with your finger or brush and press your finger into your lips. That works too.

That's how I always do my mascara - one coat from base to tips and then I usually comb them and apply to just the ends. And I've used eyeshadow on my lips since I was 14 😆 It works really well with lip gloss, but always apply powder directly to already glossed lips so you don't get it mixed into the whole tube. I did this back in the day when it was impossible to find unusual lip colors. It's a lot smarter than buying a crazy color you will only wear a couple times!

Some of those hacks worked so well. The only thing I would be careful with the lipstick hack is that not all pigments and shadows are lip safe. When I order indie brands, there are a few that will note if they're lip safe. Other than that, it's great to turn pigments into gloss!

I bought my first foundation around 3 years ago and I still use the same one. And it was my perfect shade because I researched a lotttttt before purchasing lol. No worries I'll throw it away when it starts smelling or feeling funky 😂

You were using a 3 year old foundation?! 😬 It is bad for your skin LONG before it smells or feels bad. "Wet" products like foundation and mascara are not safe to use more than 1 year after they are opened (let alone 3 YRS) because bacteria rapidly reproduces in moist environments. It's very easy to accidentally get a tiny bit of your foundation into your eye and end up with an infection, it's just not worth it. It will also cause breakouts because you are spreading bacteria all over your face 💀

I do my eyebrows exactly like that, but i take an angled eyeshadow brush and some concealer to clean up the extra brow product insted of using a makeup wipe.

So when I was in high school, I did a lot of gothic-inspired makeup, and used eyeshadows on my lips often. Mostly because it's easier to find very light or white shadows, and I used to pale-out my lips a lot, then I would also add a touch of my foundation so it would look more like a lighter version of my foundation, and I'd just apply clear lip gloss on top. ;) Some of my friends would also do this to get mixed or funky lip colors as well, since these colors were a lot harder to find at a reasonable price 15 years ago. lol
