$40+ for the finger tester? They're going for 10-15 on ebay. I bought one and it works well.

you get what you pay for. Quality is not all the same. Good luck with the cheap $10.00 one when your life depends on it.

I don't get these comments. I have severe COPD. If my concentrator is working I get relief right away. If the flow or the content is not as it should be I get no relief. The finger tester can provide another proof one way or the other if working properly. Each usage I put on the finger tester and start up my concentrator. If I feel relieved and the finger tester says 60 and 90 or above I know the concentrator is good. If the finger tester is lower I know it's time to get a new one. If I don't feel better it's time to use the backup concentrator and get the concentrator analyzed. All I'm saying with this is, your body and heart will tell you better than any mechanism what's not working properly.

This is a useful test for the patient; however it is not a direct test that the concentrator is working.

if your oxy is down, then the device isn't working. Not a direct test be effective anyway. "is my car working?" "can you drive it? If you can't drive it, your car isn't working."

How do you test the oxygen concentrator directly ? Its ridiculous to breath from the machine and see if the oxygen supply is working by a monitor

Arch. To directly test the oxygen concentrator requires a oxygen analyzer that cost $500.00. Also you have to know how to get you portable concentrator into a demo mode so it pulses continuously so you can analyze the flow. So consumers don’t ever do this. Dealers like me should perform checks. That’s why I made this video for consumers. Because if the oxygen level in the patient is above 90 or above you’re normal “baseline”. Then you know you’re machine is working. Also you have to make sure the machine you use makes enough oxygen to keep you’re oxygen levels above 90 percent. That’s why I recommend you get tested before using a pulsing POC. Thanks

mike MORNINGSTAR any dealer can check it out. Some POC have an on board testing and alarms. You have to test it with a device, call you're provider. I will say if you're oxygen level is above 90 on the device it's probably working.
