@@one_man_community I feel like it should be more of "I'll support this artist no matter which direction he goes". For example, some people shit on their favorite dubstep artists when they move to a softer side of music (biggest example is Getter with his "Visceral" project). In my opinion, if you have a "favorite" artist, you should still support them no matter which direction they choose to take. That doesn't mean you HAVE to go to their shows and listen to music you don't like, but just support them in any other way. Even listening to their new stuff and giving it a chance I'd say is still "support"

Joel's true self is Testpilot. I firmly believe he makes progressive electronic, and continues to be deadmau5 because of his fans and the money it brings him. But I think Testpilot is his love project and the guy mainly just wants to play techno. I think that's why he can't resist playing techno in most of his sets.
