Doremy

4 жыл бұрын

i am back with another side-to-side comparison, again rendered by mat1jaczyyy! (i need to learn how to do it myself though)
actually realized that i could've saved myself at the end if i cleared lines another way. wonder if i can try to make next 1v1 even longer... (excluding stalling games like the one i had recently as well)
thanks to amemiya for allowing me to use this extract!

At 9:44, you get a t-spin double and send 4 lines of garbage, even though you had max badges. Is this a glitch or some other thing I'm not aware about? I've had it happen in a recent match for me as well.

Between both e-sports and T99...I think T99 is better it's more competitive, the skins from different games and the authentic sounds of the theme give it an extra pop to be interested... I'd like to know how to stack so fast in Tetris 99. Is it by tapping that fast or holding the key when the blocks need to be placed near/at the walls? I've heard about the charged DAS but is that it? Or is there more to the finesse in Tetris 99? It's really hard to get such answers.
@ThatLuckyBear
@ThatLuckyBear 4 жыл бұрын
Mostly (at first) it's learning finesse. Memorizing and practicing the most efficient movement for every possible placement for each piece type is a lot of work. Then you practice setups so you can learn to see without looking. Slowly you learn to assess the field less and less. Eventually you don't think even think about pieces, only the strategy of their placement. It's a long road.

Learn how the pieces rotate, sometimes they move, for example if you you move an I-piece all the way to the right to where it hits the wall while it is horizontal, then let go of the directional input and then rotate counterclockwise, the expected landing area will be the third column from the left, whereas if you did clockwise it would be 2 from the left and if you kept holding right after pressing the button you get all the way to last column.

What is Amemiya doing better to win with disadvantage? Is he placing pieces faster? Is 4w just a better strat (if he is actually using it more than doremy)? I can't see a significant difference between their play that would allow such a victory, but I definitely don't have a good eye for it (I'm pretty much a total noob in Tetris)

I found out that amemiya was always stalling in the right moments. He is not faster than doremy by any means, he just plays more efficiently

@@teslalive3530 I don't speak French, but I'm guessing "riposte" means something like "counter-attack". I'm also guessing "chevron" is maybe some kind of badge. I think in the English version those options are labelled as: "KOs", "Random", "Attackers", and "Badges".
