Wednesday’s show featured the TexAgs co-owner and executive editor Billy Liucci join the GO Hour with TexAgs columnist and Heisman Trophy voter Olin Buchanan to react to Jim Schlossnagle’s departure from Texas A&M. The second hour kicked off with more reaction from Billy Liucci as well as TexAgs baseball analyst Ryan Brauninger sharing his thoughts on Jim Schlossnagle’s shocking exit from Aggieland. The Track Program Spotlight closed out the bottom of the hour. The third and final hour heard TexAgs senior recruiting analyst Jason Howell join the program with Recruiting Country and the latest on the Maroon & White’s efforts on the recruiting trail. At the bottom of the hour, former Texas A&M baseball player John Scheschuk joined the program to give his thoughts on the Ags performance in Omaha, react to the coaching news and much more.

We are about to see if A&M cares about baseball with the next coach. We can’t concern ourselves about who leaves now. I understand Texas is considered a top tier sports university. The business side of sports is ruthless. It is what it is.

As a Tennessee grad and obviously on the happier end of Monday's game, I was just so impressed with TAMU's gutsy performance in the CWS. At the time, I chalked Schloss's comments up to the disappointment of the moment but I was really taken aback by his comments in the postgame presser. Turns out, his "selfish" comment was just projection and now makes sense. Best of luck to the Aggies (except against the real UT in Knoxville). I hope you beat Texas like a drum.

As a TN fan watching the way the coach handled himself at that post game press conference was disgusting, do t think this is anyone that players really want to play for. He made that all about himself after his team left it all on the field!! I’m a TN fan and I hope he gets a rude awakening in the SEC! GBO!!

GBO! That said, I’d be murderous if I - for one second - thought that my coach didn’t give his all in the most important series (let alone the tie-breaker game - because he knew he’d just have to get through a few more hours of it before he shipped out. Friggin brutal.

If Schloss handled the transition to UT perfectly, the Aggies would still be pissed and create a narrative that makes their indignance justifiable. The anger because this happened over "several months" is simply a red herring for Aggies being overly emotional. Get over it already.

@@THorn95there are several key differences you are intentionally ignoring. 1) A&M & TCU don’t play each other and are in different conferences 2) we are not arch rivals 3) he was definitely conspiring this move months ago before the championship series so our team was compromised from the get go in the playoffs. Yall got a great ball coach, that’s a fact, but also know that you got a pos human being and a bald faced liar and you’ll have to square with that fact and whole country knows it

@@nobleguy2019You missed the point entirely and doubled down with more odd reasons to be angry. I'm arguing that if any Aggie were being honest, their anger essentially boils down to Schloss choosing Texas and his long-time friend. All the other reasons you give would make fans angrier, but only marginally so (like going from a 10 to an 11). Even if things were perfectly handled, the Aggie narrative today is “Schloss is scum for leaving us…how could he choose our rival…no wonder we lost, he wasn't all-in for the Aggies…etc.” Finally, to refer to the Aggies' best team ever, one that was a win away from an NC, as “compromised” is revisionist history of the highest order. It only highlights how emotionally illogical you and other Aggies are handling this.

Here is what will happen with this coach who has players that feel betrayed by him, when he is at Texas every coach that he recruits against will use this situation against him. Those boys played their heart out for him and Schlossnagle was negotiating a contract while it was all going on. I really feel for the A&M players and fans on how this was handled.

Coaches and players leave....sometimes we benefit, sometimes we don't. Sucks being on this side of it. Can only hope that schLOSS has a Jimbo type run. I've enjoyed Ag baseball the last few years and I am not a huge baseball fan. Looking forward to seeing who takes the program next. We are in a good spot.

Whatever team he would have gone to it was a D Bag move period !!! If A&M wants to stay relevant in baseball they need to do their due diligence and hire a proven winner who will keep the baseball team relevant and winning ! Texas will be in for a rude awakening. SEC baseball teams are for the most part are all good and talented !

big brother takes things they want from little brother in life. The fact is Texas fans think its funny but still don't see A&M as their main rival. In state rival sure, but OU is their rival and they just saw a coach they wanted and took him easily even though he had the #2 team in the country. The fact its A&M's coach just made it funnier to show they still can do what they want SEC or no SEC.

Not much from you guys about the actions and philosophies of Trev Alberts that directly caused confusion and consternation among ALL coaches there. a&m is far from being "all that" in baseball historically so I would caution you to think that you are some above average destination. I would also point out that a&m has most recently been represented and reflected by those two "a&m fans" who were a total embarrassment in front of a national audience. THAT is the personality who most think of when they think "a&m".

It's weird. He's a great coach, but a key component to coaching greatness is honesty, loyalty, integrity, and other qualities of good character. The way he blew up at Richard Zane in the post-game press conference -- which has gotten HUGE coverage in national media -- makes you wonder whether t.u. is getting damaged goods suffering from self-inflicted wounds.

@@dougrose7334 Duke to A&M… not a lateral move… not a rival… not the day after the season ended (it was two days later)… no interference by A&M in the conclusion of Duke’s season… on the day that Duke’s season ended the best available information about the A&M coaching search was pointing to Mark Stoops getting the job, so anything Elko may have said in his final post-game press conference was absolutely NOT dishonest… Elko didn’t criticize (verbally assault) and promise never again to speak to a reporter (half his own age) for asking a legit question… but other than that it’s exactly the same. If you’re going to be a hater, at least try not to be stupid.

I remember when the governor was an Aggie and the legislature didn't allow UT to go to the Big10 without A&M. But then A$M left for the SEC the next year.... All "behind the scenes".

Aggy has to face the cold, hard truth that Jimbo is for the foreseeable future getting revenue that could go to retain/hire coaches and staff. Ross left because of this reality and Trev is now the unfortunate recipient of this crap sandwich. I can't find his post-game press conference from November 25, 2023, but Elko didn't have an offer from Texas A&M on that day. The hot rumor on that day was that Mark Stoops was going to be the new head coach at Texas A&M. So, anything Elko might have said on that day about being committed to Duke would have been 100% true.

Don’t you have to give him a pass for lying during the season and a national championship run? Doesn’t mean you can’t feel personally betrayed, but had he not denied and lied and allowed this to be a distraction, wouldn’t that have been worse? Would we have even made the title series? It’s unfair to expect a coach to be honest about their future when they want to make a change but they have a job to do and are trying to hold together a locker room or recruiting trail. Still hate the guy. Trying to totally gut this program, burning it to the ground without care, is unforgivable.
