I had always kind of looked at it as the absolute “first”, where nothing worked, the machine overheated, everything about it was terrible. But you’re right, there is always a first, and being the first one in a tank that worked must have been surreal and felt totally unstoppable. That’s an interesting perspective. And i agree, I talk about it in other videos, but I think humans tend to look at technology advancements and evolution as human evolution, and I think modern war shows how humans are still the same. Technology has just made us more efficient, and in war, that efficiency is in taking life.

@@rayceofhistory I was about to say that with first tanks...it was worse hell inside than outside of it. The great war channel has good video about this filmed in tank museum in Bobbington(?).

That’s awesome, I have family that has and is serving also. I have a massive amount of respect for those who have and are in the military, regardless of the nation.
