Miami erased a 10-point deficit and turned it into a 48-33 victory over No. 23 Texas A&M. The game came to a halt with just less than 2 minutes to go after a hard hit led to a scary-looking injury to Kam Kinchens. On the stat sheet, QB Tyler Van Dyke played a terrific game to lead the Hurricanes to victory. He threw for 374 yards on 21-30 passing and 5 touchdowns. Xavier Restrepo was electric for Miami: he caught 6 passes for 126 yards, but it was Jacolby George who cashed in. The Canes wideout caught 5 passes for 94 yards, and three of those catches were for touchdowns.

Great win for Miami. I'm an Ole Miss fan here watching to see what A&M has, and they look MUCH improved from last year. I knew Petrino would make a difference. I looked at the stats and a&M beat the 'Caines in almost every meaningful statistical category, but in the end it didn't matter. Football is a crazy game! lol

For sure an improvement. Still so much work to be done. I think the age of this team mixed with the improvement over the last squad that we've seen already makes a decent future. Our game is looking intense this year. If both teams keep it up, but even if not there's always a chance for a fantastic football game when it's Canes vs Noles

Who cares if there was only 5000 there? It wasn’t a full stadium which just means it was less of a home field advantage for UM. If anything that should that make your loss feel even worse. Just accept it cling to being in the SEC and having big crowds as a coping mechanism as usual

Didn’t watch the game but in these highlights a level of physicality I haven’t seen from this program in a long time. And the offense looks legit , that’s really where the U has taken a hit over the years. Looks like we might have some play makers. Im not going to make too much out of this win. Let’s see how this season progresses.

What is impressive about these Canes is they didn't fold and get blown out after a disastrous 1st quarter, and being down 10 points twice they kept fighting, this team will go far this year, Coach Chris has this team clicking. Now a couple easy games to heal before NC.

I'm a fair Cane fan, until they play FSU - went to both schools. But as a die-hard Seminole - I'm scared of these guys. FSU has a GREAT team, but they're really, really WAY too cocky. Tessitore dropping the “talented Aggie defense” when they have given up 41 points is that good ol sec bias just pouring thru your tv. Yea individually and recruiting rankings based they should be very talented but all that talent and they are starting a true freshman middle backer who was a 3 star says something. As a Texas fan though we start a walk on at linebacker so sometimes those underrated kids can ball and the kid for Aggie (21) will be good one day, he had a rough day today but still just funny for him to be dropping the talented Aggie d after the game he just watched

A&M signed that greatest class ever and they better do something with it next year cuz they will loose prob 1-2 more games this year. Im not sure what the refs think unsportsmanlike conduct looks like but i saw a ton of plays where miami players were getting in the faces of aggies and a ton of late hits on the qb.

What’s up with the no call pick plays in the first half? Watching this made me realize the how bad the home field advantage was for this game. If they call that offensive pick then they don’t score that touchdown, if they call number 7 being thrown to the ground they don’t get the second touchdown. If they call the holding on 12 he doesn’t get a touchdown on the kick return. A lot of things for A&M to fix but nothing went there way after the punt block and muffed punt.

The receiver caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage. You’re allowed to block downfield in that case. No pick, just a nasty play design.

@@James58Rams the receivers deviated their routes well beyond the line of scrimmage and initiated contact. The rule doesn’t say anything about the pass needing to be behind the line but instead the block can’t be beyond it.

@@cmcdowell1214 “The NCAA allows for an exception on screen plays, where the ineligible player is allowed to cross the line of scrimmage to go out and block when the ball is caught behind the line of scrimmage.” That’s the best I could find, I could’ve swore I heard it was a thing pre season but maybe I’m wrong because “ineligible player” would indicate lineman to me but maybe the interpretation is loose from refs. Either way they’re not changing the call now. Shrugs.

Imagine if he knew he could hit like 2007 times even. Kids would be dead with Williams back there. This hit was him knowing he would be flagged. So it was him at prob 70%. 100% buddy has no face left.
