Hope you enjoy of this successful fishing trip. Our targeted species was sand trout and it was accomplished, And also was lucky enough to catch a decent size black drum.

I was there Saturday same spot and thats all I caught like 20 sand trout and a little black drum. Guy next to me caught a sheephead, nice one too.

Rod(Diawa presso 7ft ultra light ) Reel(diawa not sure what brand I’ll update u when I get home but the whole set up I got it off Fishing Tackle Unlimited

Bro I was cracking up when that shrimp was blowing up. Haha! I went fishing today and damm I use pop cork and kept getting my hook tangled up with cork float when it hit water. what can I do to stop the tangled up mess. I use 20 lb braided line and don’t use leader I have float and hook like 3 feet apart cuz I use a med action 6’6” spinning rod. I do use the slip weight. Any recommendations or suggestions?

I highly suggest you use leader. I only use 20lb fluorocarbon leader all the time it tends to be stiffer than braid. Try that and hopefully it helps you with the issue. And thanks for the support brother

Yes here I was fishing Texas city so I went with 1 11/2 about a foot and a half or two feet the longer leader god for seawolf park I will be doing a video of all my rigs soon 🤙👍

What is your light and generator set up?

sloshyjoe sloshyjoe I run a 2300 watt portable generator it’s. Ryobi and for light I use a dj stage light with a 1000 watt bulb u can find the light at a place called cheap lights just ask for a fishing package and they’ll know what you are talking about. And the generator you can find it at Home depo not a bad generator two years with it all night on summer and not a single problem with it. 🤙

Yes right where the other generators are at 👍if they still have them in display but if u can’t find them ask a worker because it could be that they don’t have them on display

sand trout are actually one of the best underrated tasting fishes in my opinion. so are the croakers lol minus all the tiny bones , a good filet knife will work tho!

TexasFishingAddict oh i found it on home depot hey bro let me ask u is that enough 1800 run power for 1000 watt light output and how long it runs in 1.5 gas tank. Is 1000 pretty bright beam pattern on the water what i can tell by ur clog it looked pretty good i guess
