Here is our "Way To Early" 2024 Texas Longhorns football predictions video for every college football game of the 2024 season.
We're going to go game by game and break each matchup down. Along the way we will predict the final outcome of each matchup, and predict Alabamas final record on the season.
The SEC as a whole has gone through massive changes this year. The BIG 10 has added Washington, USC, UCLA and Oregon Ducks. We have the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners coming into the SEC conference. The road to the SEC championship is now more difficult. We have also had Nick Saban, the GOAT himself retire. We welcome in Kalen Deboer as the new Head Coach of the Crimson Tide. Kirby Smart though is still in charge in the SEC conference. The college football playoffs have also expanded to 12 teams now starting this year. Brent Venables looks to compete with other SEC coaches. Dan Lanning is re tooling. Steve Sarkisian is searching for his first national championship.
Let's take a close look at each of these games being of season to end.

Realizing that Michigan was so gutted from last year, Texas could very well go 12-0... GA and OK will be the toughest stretch. And I really hope we beat the sh*t out of the Aggies.

Lol I agree. Michigan will still have a good physical defense. But like you said gutted on both sides of ball. Texas should be favorite as of now. Spot on!

Texas May not care😂😂😂😂😩 We talking about the Aggies…was still my enemies even when we weren’t playing them in our conference anymore. Texas will be up for that game.

@@3rd-And-Long The legitimately have by far the EASIEST schedule in comparison to OU. But I see them losing @ Michigan, I see them losing to Georgia, and I see them losing either the OU game or the Texas A&M game. So a ceiling of 10-2 floor of 9-3. I think you may be underestimating that Georgia team just a bit! But great show bro!!

@@OfficialHogWildPodcast thanks! Yeah I hear you on that? Good point. OUs schdule is rough, it’s going to be a tough one, much tougher then Texas’. I can easily see them dropping those as well. A 9-3 season is not out of the question at all, good points

I really want to see Texas win it all, but I am predicting them to go 8-4.

That is very possible. It’s a tough schedule coming up. If there’s injuries, or if a few things don’t go their way, that can definitely happen

If Texas doesn't get a top 2 slot for the playoff, i hope they get the 5th slot...easier path than the 3rd and 4th slot(s)

He did, I agree. Great point. I believe I mentioned his performance vs Wash. I even said his 2 best games were vs Bama and Wash

@@3rd-And-Long best two statistical games were Tech and big 12 ship but I think his best performance was Bama. He rallied and played well against Washington it was outplayed by Penix for sure

@@WhiskeyBravo83 true, Penix was on another level that game. I mean he couldn’t miss a 50 yd pad and Odunze was catching everything. It was just their game. Ewers I think just needs to be more consistent is all. He can have great games. But the schedule may require him to step up more often, especially with Worthy and Mitchell gone. But he’s shown he can do it

I didn’t say winning it all, but yeah I do expect high things this year. But is that such a stretch? Didn’t they just make the final 4 last year? It doesn’t seem a stretch to me that they could make it again

Yeah, I think so, too. It really is a relatively easy schedule with only 2 or 3 real challenges. If there is an upset, it might be Kentucky - we've lost the two matchups in the past. And let's get real - everyone brings their best against Texas. Whatever team, they absolutely bring it, and teams with a losing record always seem to play their best game against Texas.

You’re right, not the hardest schedule in the conference by any means. But I’d say it’s more difficult this year, Mizzu has easiest schedule in SEC

@@3rd-And-Long he’s done good stuff, they made big strides in 2022 and 2023 when they brought in some top WR talent and took the time to build up their OL. but they will likely remain at the same level for 2024, they have kind of peaked talent-wise. Likely even taking a step back defensively this year. So considering the struggled against Kstate, Houston, TCU, and lost to OU and Washington with all the talent they had at their disposal last year, I’m definitely betting the under on that crazy 10.5 line

I feel like everyone expects Texas to win Red River but soley because they lost last year. Contrary to everyone else i think TX loses to Oklahoma again, Sark feels a bit of pressure and they beat Georgia at home as a rebound. That post Georgia schedule is terrifying. Huge potential for sleep walking and trap games. Probably drop a game or 2 there.

@@PeterDaGreat. it can happen, there isn’t a massive talent gap between these 2 teams. And it’s a rivalry so anything can happen. But I do think Tx will win it, but it’s a close one, it’s always a close one with these two teams

I think Texas disappoints and finishes 10-2. They lost a lot of great players from last year. And Ewers should have went to draft

@@PeterDaGreat. I would say it depends on who the 2 loses are to and if they can still get in playoffs. If they go 10-2 and miss playoffs it would be a disappointment since comparing it to last year they made the playoffs. But you’re right, 10-2 is a really good year. But now expectations are playoffs after last year performance

@@AliensAnonymous I hear you and get it, but maybe, maybe not. I don’t think 10-2 guarantees a playoff spot. Maybe under normal circumstances. But the SEC could have a few 10-2 teams, and so could the BIG10. Then conference champs auto get in. It just depends on how the final group looks. But if they finish 10-2 but are 4th or 5th in sec they could get left out. I mean Bama, Ole Miss, Mizzu, Ok, Ga, Tenn, Tx, LSU, A&M, could all have a shot at 10 wins. Their not all getting in though

But it’s fine, there’s some new blood transferring in. We just need to see the new pieces play. Anyways I praised Texas depth, so I don’t see the issue
