I’ve been to the prison museum before in Huntsville. It is very interesting to see all those things, but when I ran into old sparky, there was something that just would not let me stand to close it (even being behind the barricade). I normally don’t really get intimidated but something just kept me at a distance from that thing.

5:55 as someone who used to work at one of those prisons in Huntsville, it does not surprise me that camera was used up to 1991. Texas budget for TDCJ is low, the uniforms suck, the equipment is cheap, guns are vietnam era. It's ridiculous.

@jacksonhester163
@jacksonhester163 2 жыл бұрын
What do you mean underplayed, the museum is partially meant to show how bad prison is. For example you can go inside the replica cell and feel how uncomfortable the beds are.
@here2watch08
@here2watch08 2 жыл бұрын
@@jacksonhester163 I think they might be talking about things like human rights abuses that still occur in jails very commonly to this day. Inmates still get beat by COs, they also face retribution by COs in the form of contrived "shots" which can extend prison stays, and they also get murdered in jail plenty when it's the CO's jobs to keep an eye out and make sure everyone's safe.

The model of “leather restraints” in the display case are still used in many areas, one of which is on lethal injection gurneys. The Humane Restraint company, in Wisconsin if I recall, made/makes these. Where I work I had to repair some of these after years of service. They are very solid, yet relatively soft; humane… Good episode!
