This story along with many other Texas Country Reporter stories would be right up Paul Harvey's line. Both Bob & Paul are excellent story tellers, I love them both. Thank Heavens that their both available on KZfaq to listen to & enjoy......

that is a Majestic version of the anthem on a pipe organ played in an empty ballpark also, it could be the fact that the ballpark is nearly empty, but the PA is very tinny sounding not a ton of bass :D

My dad adopted me after my folks married when I was five, so by blood, my roots are 120 and 140 years deep in farming and oil lease operating near McCauley and Moran, respectively. The strange thing is that my dad and I look and sound so much a like we pass as blood. He grew up outside of Detroit where his dad was an engineer for General Motors and had a hand in the Cadillac autronic eye. Dad originally worked for Bendix and then ended up in West Texas as an environmental analytic chemist. The name is french canadian, and not at all common down here.

I don’t think they’re gonna let him play organ at the ballpark anytime soon. The reason why is because no modern ballpark has an actual organ. The classic parks, they have one for sure, but they’re not going to put one in Globe Life Field.
