Lots of enthusiasm at this state fair. Lively crowd, lively exhibits. Never been to a state fair myself, so this is definitely worth checking out one day!!

I'm a Texan teaching overseas in Eastern Europe and i always get a bit homesick around this time seeing all the state fair posts from my friend. Thank you for this taste of home:) I felt like I was there! :)

I'm sure the AZ one is still 100x better than the fun fairs we have in the UK though 😂 there's a fair that's came to my nearby park and there's only about 5 thrill rides. They're still fun though and I love to go!

The crazy house dark ride used to be called the Lumalusion. It's been there for decades. They used to have a genuine Pretzel Ride which they stupidly took out. I sure miss my 70s & 80s midway. They used to open Fair Park for the summer, hence the permanent rides.

@@Vendzor You would've loved the 1970s State Fair of Texas. And the 1970s Fair Park was something, too. You had the midway, the dark and mysterious aquarium, The DMA across the lagoon, Age of Steam, The Museum of Natural History, the old science museum before The Science Place and a vibe that wouldn't quit.

it’s great been going since i was little! i always go for the OU texas football game make sure you don’t go that day because the fair is packed with people going to the game also you gotta get a fletchers corn dog when you’re there!

As a Texan and having been to many other states fairs ... OUR State Fair is the BEST State Fair 😁. My Parents-In Law both won Blue Ribbons this year, Mom with 2 of her beautiful Quilts - and Dad with the 1936 Monopoly Set (its a full set which is VERY rare for that year and the tokens were made out of wood because of WW2) and my Best Friend won a Blue Ribbon for his Hand Forged Metal Sculptures. The Cultural Arts building is one we spend hours in just admiring everyone's creativity!

I live in Round Rock Texas so the state fair is only a few hours away. I really wanna go there but my parents gotta plan when we should do so and probably spend the weekend in Dallas as well because we'd be tired after a long day to drive back home

Yeah. That’s been there since the 80s when I was a kid. It’s a staple. It disappeared for a while and I’m so glad it returned. It’s my favorite.

8:20 oh good!!! They brought this dark ride back. This is a stable and has been at the TX Faye forever. It was there in the 80s when I was a kid. It disappeared for a while so I’m glad it’s back. It’s my favorite.

There is so much more at the Great State Fair of Texas that it would be impossible have it all in one video. I have not been there in well over a decade. What a great video full of items I have never experienced there before. I hope I get the chance to go this year. It has been way too long.

A few years ago they tried to open it during the summer as an amusement park, but it underperformed, so they haven't tried again.

Texas State Fair! They have THE best deep fried foods in the country like: Oreos, snickers, donuts, and everything in between. Big Tex is a really big stable of the Texas State Fair. I want to go there soo bad! Have a great time Jake and back to those haunts! 🤠🤠

Oh this was another awesome video Carpetbagger! That Flipper ride was insane. For a few seconds when you were filming it before going on it and it Really sped up I thought you had sped up the video! That went from gentle to Terrifying so very fast! Your screams and Jeff's infectious laughter was an awesome combination! You Really must do more videos together when you can 💖

Glad to see there are still a few Flippers around. They're vintage rides from the late 80s, manufactured by Huss. They're actually quite fun. Sometimes they also stop mid-ride, staying elevated, and reversing the turn direction. Try riding an Enterprise when you find one :D

That is a really awesome State Fair. Everyone you visit gets bigger and better . Love the 20's 30's style buildings. For some reason I found the older style Dark ride more interesting with the black light graphics. Good on you for trying different rides out of your comfort zone. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
