Thank you for this detailed video. It captured all aspects of the curious questions about the State of NC, from someone wanting to move there. On a light note though, you were merciful with the weather figures for Texas this summer. This August, we recorded 116F in Austin, and 119F in Midland/El Passo areas of Texas. It wasn't a joke. Can't wait to move to NC sooner.

haha I did hold back on temps lol. i went with averages, but you are right, it was down right BRUTAL this summer out there. Family moved there last year and they said it was like ... well... H*** lol I would be happy to help in any way in your move :) NC or SC :)

I would love to connect with you about your move! It all depends on what area you look in. Smack dab in the middle of charlotte will be the most expensive BUT there are SOOOO many amazing areas! Give me a shout and we can connect! 704.559.9169

Another entertaining, detailed, excellent video! Though, I am concerned that in a couple of years, there will be videos about “Why people are moving out of North Carolina” due to projected increased residency. Yikes!
@livingincharlottenorthcarolina8 ай бұрын
Funny enough I have a video coming up next week talking a little about that. Based on the numbers, although we are growing, we are not growing NEARLY as fast as other areas of the country. In fact Florida is seeing people move in sometimes as many as 2000 a day causing major issues with home availability and infrastructure

@livingincharlottenorthcarolina7 ай бұрын
Hmm not 100% sure but I can tell you our average temps are at least 10 degrees cooler (or more) in summer so it would be wayyyy less. We spend most of summer outdoors if that helps

Definitely TX is worse I’ve lived in both

@@sanaxjavedHouston and Dallas are two different worlds when it comes to humidity. With that said, Dallas actually has better humidity than NC! You just simply said Texas which is a state that would span from NY to Alabama! Come on buddy!

Texas (Houston in particular) has way cheaper real estate than Charlotte. Even Minneapolis has cheaper real estate compared to Charlotte. Not to mention there’s way more available in both cites compared to Charlotte. You’re probably right about the weather and geography though. North Carolina seems to be the best for that.
@livingincharlottenorthcarolina8 ай бұрын
I will say I have not looked specifically at a side by side comparison to Houston, but I do know different areas of town have different prices. Those prices I mention are based more so on averages vs specific cities. I will say that we do have pretty awesome schools and you can be outside almost all year long, and our economy is booming (higher than the US average). I will also say, from a comparison standpoint, we also do not have the immigration challenges TX has. I do love texas though :)

I've gotta be honest, I'm not a people person, been in Charlotte for 2 years or so. Haven't had a worthwhile single conversation with anyone, atleast in my case, people leave you alone here. That works for me. I've been to a lot of places, people are all the same, it's more about the scenery. Texas, Florida, NC all have good spots.

How does NC rank higher in the state tax burden? I get the property tax is higher in Texas but the no income tax should edge NC out. Kinda confused by that
@livingincharlottenorthcarolina8 ай бұрын
It has to do with the plethora of other taxes such as: Sales tax, gas tax, personal property tax (cars etc), and more. When all totaled up, the percentage of your dollar that goes to taxes is higher in TX than NC. Kind of interesting
