Yes it was a lot of fun we would take along the 10ft. Cast net for shrimp, and go at night and gig flounder, and catch soft shell crabs. I have to agree with you. I don’t have any issues with my relatives on my wife’s side. Several are college graduates and employed but they don’t have deep pockets. They also don’t save anything. So if anything happens and several times a year something typically happens. The also get several boxes during the year. On top of that my wife owns several small houses that she purchased over the years and her younger sister now getting that money since her mom passed away. She don’t work and I think it’s because she is enabled. I keep out of it because I never agree with whats going on and they don’t like my questions. Jack and the Beanstalk would never be a story in the Philippines because they would have eaten the beans long before planting them.

Merry Christmas CC. Man its nice having you back. That is what I love doing refurbishing things. I will paint it up good. About the fiberglass. If you glass over these wood boats it causes the wood to rot. It can dry and holds like a sponge. ( IF it cant dry it will die ) Many have done that to have failure. The main thing is dont be a lazy ass and not bring the boat to safety with a massive storm pounding the beach. LOL When I originally bought that boat it also had a mass for a small sail. They removed it without my permission ! Ah the good ole days when the Kano was never listened too! I want to put a mass back and have a small sail.

@@TexasFilipino that’s awesome I learned something new today, I didn’t know you couldn’t fiberglass over wood. I’ve done it before but it was on something going indoors. Guess it being in water 💦 is a different story. What about sanding it down and getting all the paint off and using a marine grade glue & gluing a thin wooden laminate like for instance Luon plywood or really thin marine grade plywood and stiffened up the structural integrity of the boat and then painting it with Marine grade paint ? Would that work ? That plywood I call luon I’m sure U have used as U know is very thin but it’s strong per square inch. Then that would be wood on wood. Possibly make it stronger without adding a lot of weight & less likely to get holes knocked all way thru it. I really don’t know I’m not a boat guy. U’re the boat guy I’ve just done a bunch of wood working, furniture, some carpentry, concrete & brick work. All before I finished my career with last 20 years as a trucker. Just throwing some ideas around.
