Please join me as I take my Liberty of London fabric scraps and make a gorgeous piece of fabric to use in any sewing project. Here I make a small clutch for many uses. These are great for keeping sewing notions organized. Relax into free motion stitching to create artsy textiles. Reduce and reuse your fabric scraps. Have fun!!

I also make pouches about this same size. They sell well at my local flea market. Just a little tip, sew your button on before you line it. Looks so much cleaner and finishes nicely. I love your channel. Awesome projects to learn to make. Thank you so much.

I like how you point out how hesitant you were as to where to place the strips. I would find that the hardest part so your advice to just go with it is really helpful. You've really brought out the beauty in Liberty fabric. Your pieces are so lovely.

Very cute pouch and making your own fabric was very interesting! I have just one small suggestion on the ribbon closure. Since the ribbon will continually have tension on it by wrapping it around the button and because the sewing machine MAYBE put two stitches in such a narrow ribbon, I would tie a knot in the end that is inside the seam BEFORE stitching it. I do this exact thing and the tie lasts forever. Even it it doesn't come out, the ribbon can strip when tugging on it to tie around the button without the knot. Thanks for the tips on making the fabric "soup!"

Hi, The strips of scrap fabric came from other sewing projects. Mask making, etc. Any cotton or lightweight scrap will work. I hope this helps. Thanks!!

I think that you are FAR too hard on yourself. You’ve taken cabbage and made ice cream sundae. What else could you do with scraps? You’ve made something beautiful out of something a lot of folk might have discarded. I’m impressed that you ironed them. It’s a step too far for me…. Maybe after seeing this I’ll get the steam presser into action. Thank you for an excellent video tutorial 😊😊😊 P.S. I’m quite envious of your intelligent machine. Must save so much fiddling and time.

Hi ... Thank you for your kind words. I felt the scraps needed to be ironed. lol I love my sewing machine too. The knee lift for the presser foot is a game changer.
