not really Blender never made C4D Maya or Nax stop working so why this would stop poliigon after all Poliigon still bigger and have more chocies and people who aren't willing to pay polliigon they were making textures them selfs and who pid Poliigon is till gonna use that library

The update speed of Poliigon is faster than CC0 Texture and Texture Haven to be honest, and in the field I would prepare faster and up to date textures when it comes to designing. For Hobbies/personal production to small productions you dont need Poliigon, just these free stuffs are useful enough. If CC0 and TH will update their texture once every week or month with up to date design, im sure there will be a competition.

Don't forget for a moment what Price is actually doing ... What he sells is not what he made. All he does is narrate other people's tutorials and publish other people's textures. I am sure he pays those people because his head is still attached to the rest of him, but he is just the "ideas-man". Nothing wrong with that but he could use some of those ideas to actually contribute something to make this world a better place instead of making a living by trying to suck artists dry, not just that, the energy he exudes is awful ... Personally I cannot bear to listen to him. Have you seen his "interviews"? Yuk, already! Not only is he the king of stupid questions and brainless remarks, he also always steers the conversation towards money. Art has NOTHING to do with money and everything with enriching other people's lives. It is time everybody realizes this. I am telling you that what Rob and Greg (Greg Zaal, HDRIHaven, if you didn't know), not forgetting Ton Roosendaal, are doing is the way forward. The world is changing for the better, whether you like it or not. I don't think I am good enough just yet for contributing properly but I am working on it and as soon as I think I can help people in a meaningful way, I will, for free and without hesitation. There are ways to make a living without making others poorer. It's time to let go of the old "suck-em-dry" geriatric brigade and join the new "let's-make-em-happy" young and energetic department! (Nothing to do with age, everything depends on mentality!)

The problem is the money it takes to make these textures. It's kinda hard to come by to give them out for free.

​@@MissCattitude63 Your idea of the future is that Art has no value any more which leads to a world where artwork is only a hobby and there is no chance to earn money with it, no chance to finance your life through an activity that you love. That's a totally SAD future-vision my friend ;)
