DOF question: To get this shallow DOF, do you need a speed booster + bigger lens, or can you achieve it on a native? My understanding is that the MFT aperture is double what it would be on a full frame, i.e. an MFT f2.8 is the equivalent of a Full Frame f5.6... so if you could get say an f.95 like the Voigtlanders for MFT, would it have a good shallow DOF? I guess another question is, does the speed booster maintain the Full Frame aperture? Or constrict it to the amount of the MFT.. trying to pick the best lens for the GH5 I'm about to get! Thanks guys :)

Shallow DOF is the same on full frame, APS-C or MTF, It's depends on your lens. To get shalow depth of field you need lens with smaller aputure like 1.8, 1.4, or 0.95. In this video I didn't use speedboster, just regular adapter with samyang 35mm 1.4. Try with Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 and speedboster.

Dragi Mateo, čaroban i inspirativan video! Svaka čast. Scena krupnog plana očiju tvoje bake... nesto najjace sto sam ikada vidio! Molim te znaš li koji (m43) objektiv osim tvoga 35mm bi si mogao preporuciti da bi se postigao takav efekt, takva jasnoca/dubina slike. Koji originalni panasonic, a koji m43 zamjenski...? imas li ideju?

Hvala puno na komentaru! Preporucio bi ti samyang 35mm (canon) i adapter sa canona na m43 (Ja vjerovatno cu prodat taj objektiv sa videa i adapter ako si zainteresiran) ili preporucio bi ti objektiv 35mm,50mm koji ti ima F-stop 1,4 ili 1,8.

It's not about the lens, if you want good autofocus for video go for sony a6300, a6500 cameras.. I never use autofocus on my panasonic camera because I don't need it, and It's bad.

Hi, Thank you :) I used canon mount and adapter from canon EF to MTF Crop factor is 2.0x. 35mm x2.0 = 70mm. So good idea is to buy speedboster if you want smaller crop factor :)

Mateo Jurčić it's there in gh4..other options (saturation-hue-contrast) are greyed out but you can alter nr and sharp. when in vlog-l profile..i assume it's still available with gh5..but you can check..

Nadao sam se takvom odgovoru.. bavio sam se fotografijom i shvatio sa da je 90 % recikliranje već viđenog, pokušaji kopiranja nekih tuđih radova tako da odustajem i bacam se na video.. Hvala ti na savjetu, samo jako ;)

Great video! Did you use 420 8bits because the 10bits crashes your computer? Mine are unreadable on Premiere. Are you satisfied with using vlog on 420 8bits? Lots of noise on your side? Thanks

Thank you. I used 420 8bits.. Yes, exactly. You have the solution to transcode 422 in prores. But I hope they will fix it in firmware update. I didn't have problems with the noise.

180 fps 1080 and 4k 30 and 60 fps. I didn't record in 4:2:2 because premiere crashes when I import 4:2:2 footage into premiere. But after this video I started transcode my 422 footage in prores
