I did mine at home yesterday. On Medium length 4c, tangled, thick, dry, poorly cared for (due to poor mental health and difficult to manage hair) hair. I thought about this for a long time and watched nearly all the videos on KZfaq of different ways people used a texture softener. I was so scared and stalled for a while but then just did it because I needed my hair to be more manageable so I can care for it properly. My results were so good!!! No straight strands and got looser curls! I just had to share my experience.. not recommending anyone do it at home, but if you do, really think on it and do ALOT, ALOT of research! 🥰

I texurise at home. Did it when i was 15. Always got perfect results because i knew my hair and it only took 7 minutes from start to end. When i went back natrual people always asked why and said i had the "perfect" texturised hair. Also because less effort is needed to tame the beast of thick natural hair my hair also got longer. I agree with you though doing a texturiser at home is not recommended.

Texturizers still have a strong smell even after my hair is rinsed, shampooed and conditioned.

my hair is curly wavy how do I get my curls to stand out more what product should I use.

I have been wanting to texturize my hair for awhile now, I shaved my head completely bald over a year ago and it has grown back, but the crown grew back straight, no curl pattern at all.
