basically Lumine, Dain, Tsaritsa have the mutual enemy which is celestia but they don't share same path and strategies that's why instead of uniting, they consider each others as hindrance.

It's important to note that Dainsleif feels to fall under reason and logical thinking. There was a line i believe where he said "Don't believe everything gods tell you, but also don't go around hunting them down" it's like he atleast knows that going against the gods might not be the best option 😅

I have a hunch that Celestia was the one that cursed Dainsleif with immortality to use him as a witness to the destruction of Khaenri'ah. Celestia can just use the "he failed to protect Khaenri'ah" as an excuse to curse him and I'm guessing his omniscience is also a part of the the package so that he can witness everything that's going on. And if you think about it, Dain is just one guy. Even if he's powerful, he's still outnumbered by the sheer amount of gods in Celestia and all the power they have combined. - - - My friend also has a theory that Gold (or Rhinedottir, whether they're the same person or not is unconfirmed but is hihgly probable) was framed by Celestia. Gold pursued knowledge that Celestia deemed 'too dangerous' because it threatened them. So they used Gold's pursuit for knowledge and twisted the narrative so that Gold seemed greedy and power-hungry. Now that I'm reflecting on it, it makes sense too. The books in the game frame Celestia as some sort of heaven that's super divine and we have numerous story hints that says 'khaenriah is bad' all of which i found suspicious. A narrative that is too black and white is never to be trusted because nothing /is/ simply black and white. - - - Also, not entirely related but I do wonder if our twin first met Dainsleif after Khaenri'ah's destruction. It's really likely that they'd run into each other there imo. - - - TLDR: Don't trust Celestia

There's always two sides of the coin. We only just heard the side of Khaenriah from Dainsleif, which is a Khaenrian. Im waiting for the other side of the story, maybe from Venti or Zhongli.

I don’t know if you mentioned it but if you stand near the statue when you first encounter it, it drains your hp, learned that when my Bennet fainted from it. I suspect that it drained the grand thief’s life force which killed them.

Funny thing, I believe the first time Dain DOES know about Mc's relationship with Venti and Zhongli hence he asks you interesting questions, one of them being about your opinion of your adventure to save Dvalin. Dainsleif knows more than you think, but that we already knew from thr start...

When they mentioned meteorites and the siblings sleeping, did anyone else have a flashback to the Unreconciled Stars event?

Some things to note: Traveler not going loudly about his intentions of questioning Zhongli and Venti is probably nothing more than thinking to himself, since Dainsleif knows, that we know both the archons. And the other thing is, since Khaenria'h was destroyed 500 years ago, and 500 years ago was the last time Venti talked to Tsarista on 'good' terms, that most likely means that that was a breaking point for her, and that's when she turned on Celestia and the other of the Seven(or at least on Venti). It's hard to tell as of now, if the Seven really did play a pivotal role in wiping Khaenria'h out, but it's definitely not a coincidence in case of Tsarista's rebellion. Since she is/was a god of love, seeing whole nation of people getting crushed by her fellow gods was perhaps too much for her. Based on this, I think that there may be a bigger reason behind Fatui openly challenging Venti, instead of striking a deal with him like they went about with Zhongli. It may very well be that he was just weak and it was a good time to strike, but it also could mean, that Tsarista's personal vendetta against him is bigger than that against the other Seven, implying that perhaps Venti played a more important role in destroying Khaenria'h, or perhaps, check this out, was the only god responsible(at least of the Seven). I mean, the destroyed area did looked to be somewhere around Mondstadt. Sure, he most likely was following orders given to him or something, but still. And so Tsarista decided to make him pay in a way. Having the friendliest god we met turn out to be the one with the darkest secret is a pretty dark writing, and MiHoYo can pull that off.

If the name "Field Tiller" originates from the statement that "the land is ... to be fought for with steel and blood", it may imply that Khaenri'ah had fought in wars even before the Cataclysm happened, maybe even to expand their territory. It's also interesting, that Ganyu said that the Dendro Archon is only 500 years old, so the former Archon might have been killed shortly before or during the Cataclysm. I think Khaenri'ah was not only destroyed, because they were successful without the Gods, but also because they were too dangerous and/or did something bad.

This made me even more curious about Kaeya if anything. His father told him he’s their last hope. He’s the final link to figuring out more about what happened 500 years ago and Dain

I think something more important we don't mention is how Lumine just spies on us (We Will be Reunited trailer), and from this quest we see why. She's waiting for us to do our adventure to uncover "the truth" and probably HOPING we end up on her side. Is it because she really wants to destroy celestia, or she doesn't want her relationship broken?

Okay, okay, I’m just putting out my theory from what I understood from this quest. This largely has to do with the MC’s and their sibling’s timeline. Okay, so what I think is that by the time Khaenriah was destroyed, the sibling had already travelled through Teyvat. From what I can tell from the dialogue, when the sibling woke up the MC, they seemed to already know about what was happening with Khaenriah, and even knew the places name. This makes sense since if the sibling travelled through Teyvat before the destruction of Khaenriah, they would already know about all the nations. This would also put the siblings anger towards Dainslef in a different light. If the sibling began their journey in Khaenriah, they would have gotten close to the people of Khaenriah, making them angry when Dainslef wasn’t able to protect those very same people from the gods. It would also make the sibling’s “care” towards the abyss’s inhabitants make a little more sense since they knew these people before they became monsters. After the sibling travelled through Teyvat and found the MC, both decided to flee but their path was blocked by the unknown god. The sibling was sent back to Teyvat with their power intact, while the MC seems to have been sealed to sent forward in time.

Abyss is doing some stuff with the keyword "Loom of Fate". and dain says in the teyvat chapter storyline: "Defeat me, command me to step aside. Show me that you are worthier than i to rescue her. Then, the threads of all fate will be yours to re-weave"... idk but i think its some how connected to the end of our Journey, and also in the character screen, in Lumine/Aether profile, theres "Loom of fate" maybe this project will be a big plot for the end of the story

tbh dainsleif is just as suspect rn, the first thing he does after aquiring the eye of the field tiller is go directly to the statue and follow the enemy into a portal that could potentially lead right into their main base

I'm not sure if i'm reading into it too much? But, when Dainsleif is questioning Aether, in this case, he asked him specifically that he was woken up by his sibling, that he was TOLD that Khanri'ah was being destroyed and set ablaze and it's best to leave by his sibling.... So perhaps Lumine, in this scenario, only told Aether half truths at the time to protect him. So Dainsleif is inferring that NOT only has Lumine been awake this entire time, but she awoke first maybe weeks/months or even years before Aether, in this scenario, the first time. Which would explain the seemingly intimate relationship between her an Dains. Maybe she even played a role in the events leading up to the destruction of Khanri'ah. Thats why she's taking such a heavy responsibility in trying to right her error.

Here's something no one is talking about, the abyss order operation and the last story of the traveler have the same name "loom of fate" (at least in the Spanish sub) And looking into the origins of "loom of fate" it backup certain theory / conceptions about a cyclic Teyvat and the concept of fate and predestination (also it leads again into the idea of 3 main deities above all the others) Pesonal take about Khaenri'ah: they may have been conquerors ~~

The quest was also called Involuntary Sacrifice, which implies the Grand Thief was sacrificed against his will.

It all makes sense now, scaramouche was right all along. And i think we will get answers from him in inazuma he will be the harbinger assigned to get the gnosis of raiden. The false sky that feeling of being watched in a sheltered eternity.

I'm thinking that the original location of the 'Defiled Statue' is at Galesong Hill because Mondstadt (excluding Dragonspine) only has 4 Anemo Archon Statues while Liyue has 5. Also, there's Cape Oath, in the entrance to the Spiral Abyss( the portal, where there's a wind current ) it looks like there's supposed to be a statue which has been dug up from the ground.

It is important to note that the reason the Traveler hasn't asked questions about Khaenri'ah to Venti or Zhongli is that he only remembers this on the Prelude of this chapter (when he sees the dandelion smashed by the antagonist). He didn't have memories of the cataclysm when he met Venti or Zhongli.

With all that said... now throw in interaction between Anemo and Cryo archons: -we know "incident" happened 500 years ago that bittered relationship between the two greatly and left Tsaritsa "deeply changed" -500 years ago we know destruction of Khaenriah occurred, with Barbatos probably partaking in, while Tsaritsa stood for people of the godless nation, probably due to her (then) innate love and compassion. Love and compassion she no longer have, instead burning desire to topple Celestia, even if it might bring more destruction. Thus explaining why every current Cryo vision holder is plagued by inner conflict

Also something to think about remember the hallway we see lumine runnig through what if just what if it's not actually celestia but the royale palace of khenriah

You forgot to mention abt Lumine's power being darkness while in the first cutscene at the start of the game, we see they had some sort of light power. So I think there are some sort of corruption going on with Lumine for taking the power of darkness to had believed Dainsleif is the enemy of the Abyss. As for why she would take such power, is probably because having witnessed the destruction, she was persuaded by the Abyss to take the power that would match the power that they had before so she can wage war against "destiny (the gods)". If this is the case, then expect to fight the sibling at some point of the game.

i forgot the exact line but lumine says something about how what she's doing is her destiny. but.... why? she and aether are not from teyvat why would something concerning khaenri'ah be her destiny to fulfill? she already tried to leave the destruction of khaenri'ah once (but then the unknown god stopped them), so what happened to make her change her mind and decide- nope instead of searching for aether and leaving im gonna help the abyss order take down celestia. thats the part im most curious about. especially because aether said "lets leave its dangerous" and she kinda basically ignored him, said nope u gotta go thru ur journey, and then left through that portal.

Dains was the protector of Khaenriah but he didnt do it resulting in the destruction of Khaenriah. But, what if the reason is, that the attacker was someone very close to him along with the gods? and at the end of our Journey, that will be the case as well ? will we protect Tevat againts Lumine or let her do her thing. :D

Could Kaeya be the prince of Khaenriah? Who was the only one Dainsleif saved?

I have a theory that the unknown god destroyed Kaenriah like we see in that Lumine trailer and Dainsleif and the Abyss misunderstood and they think it’s the seven. Also I think the ruin guards were sent to destroy the ancient cities (as they are coincidently at each of those places) and just ended up collapsing in the whereabouts of them. Edit: It seems the MC has lost their memory to a pretty high degree because they don’t really know their own name. The sibling calls you either Aether or Lumine depending on which one you play. Although it could just be lazy writing.

Alchemy! Khaenri'ah had that advanced form of alchemy thsy Albedo uses. Thats probably how they would make the artificial god

I have one question though, if kaeya is the prince of kaenriah why was he acknowledged by the gods and given a vision. Could it be that tsarita believes that kaeya will fullfill a dead prophecy for justice of the citizens of kaenriah... its all deep and getting dark. Plus albedo he is another sus character. He said before that he had the power to destroy monsdath. This makes him a very dangerous individual and maybe he can even be stronger than the geo archon himself considering zhongli is washed up. He no longer has his gnosis and stripped of with his godly abilities.

One thing I will mention is that Aether does make it in time to the portal, but didn't have the capability of using it. I think it's because he doesn't have all the elements yet. I believe once he has them all, certain abilities will unlock including possibly combining all the elements in to one. I think this combined power was what Lumine and Dainslief were using, which is also why they were able to use the portal and Aether couldn't. Also if Dain had just ran towards the portal like Aether did, he would have definitely missed it because he was several feet behind Aether and that's why he used his ability.

Paimon and Dainsleif having the same kind of cape makes me think that Paimon has some connection with Kaenriah

This story quest was so pivotal and important that I felt like the Genshin Impact logo was gonna pop up at the end of the cutscene. Lol.

The darkest moment of the game is when you find the special needs kid whose parents died and he thinks they are gonna come back I cried bro

if the abyss had the ability to create a manufactured God, could it be possible that the Unknown God is something similar?? I feel like we may have the wrong idea about her being a god, and maybe she was some kind of security system instead. she never once announced herself to be a god or an archon. tho i cant tell what side she was on, khaenri'ah or Celestia; our sibling being captured makes me think it was Celestia as the twins obviously have power equivalent/stronger than the archons, and possibly they were rescued by the Abyss. i think the destruction of khaenri'ah was most likely to be because they found a way to create a machine that rivals the archons/celestia, the same as what they were doing in this quest. I also dont think Venti had a part in this war, at least not an offensive one. He's always been around to protect Mondstadt, and i think he defended his land from the war. That could alsoo be why the cryo Archon cut ties with him because if Venti actually participated maybe things would have changed and the previous Dendro Archon would still be alive. I cant say much on Zhongli tho, i think if he was contracted into making a deal he would have participated, and it wasnt until recently he believed his people would be fine without him. It could be possible after all these years Zhongli contemplated his part in the war, and 500 years later he came to the conclusion that maybe...Teyvat would be better off without the Archons. Honestly i cant wait for what this game has in store for us. This quest gave us so much information, even tho most was confirming what we know. i also wis i caught this stream while it was live XD i had just missed it by the time i noticed. ill be here next time tho ^-^

Really enjoyed this new condensed discussion format! I would love to go through the longer form videos but it's difficult to find the time. This was an excellent listen for my drive to work and great analysis. Mihoyo really impressed me with this story quest and it gets me excited for Inuzuma.

Here's something to think about we know that aether and lumine did not wake up from the pod at the same time and as per lumine she travelled the lands while for aether when he woke up soon followed the destruction of khenriah and their departure from teyvat so my guess is tha their pods got seperated somehow after entering the atmosphere while lumine ended up somewhere in the vicinity of khenriah where her pod was probably opened and woke her from stasis, aether landed to a unknown isolated location where he still did not wake up . Desperate to search for aether lumine asked for khenriah's royalty for help to which they sent dansleif to accompany her through the lands since she was an outlander and knew nothing of this world plus she'd someone to fight alongside her since those days were probably filled with alot of danger compared to now ( to back that claim we know what happened with Xiao and company) so they sent one of their royale guards once she found aether s pod at the end of her journey without any tech support they couldn't wake aether so they brought him back to khenriah thus explaining the time gap between their awakening and the knowledge lumine had of this world

I think dain knows that celestia is behind everything and he does not want the archons and races of tevyat to suffer cause they are just pieces which are used by celestial beings/gods. whereas lumine wants to take revenge by destroying the seven and their people. so in tevyat tranquil dain asks us to show who is more worthy of telling/showing her this truth as both are near to her heart. And also i think dain would become our companion(secondary) and we will meet her(lumine) more often in following quests cause dain wants to show us that gods/seven were mere pieces used by celestia whereas lumine wants to show us that seven are behind everything. Though i think we need a detailed quest which tells us more about celestia, as this one did about kaenri'ah. And if we get one we could confirm many theories so, I don't think we are getting such quest in any near updates.

More + more to think about I don't think there's anyone stands above lumine in the abyss order coz during the divalin quest diluc did mention of learning that the abyss order got a leader under the code name pricess it is possible lumine taking the name princess signify's that she'll take revenge on the world as the princess of khenriah P.S. I'm happy that mihoyo decided to fix one brutal mistake with the princess bit when you play as lumine when diluc mentions of the leader of the above he calls aether PRINCESS while in this quest the herald refers to aether as prince if you choose lumine as the MC

Awesome, I would have loved to see ya go through the quest and hear your ideas as thing happened but of course having time to stew on the ideas is important too. Right now you're the only person that I think has a solid understanding and theories for the lore. All that being said! There is one point from this quest I didn't hear you touch on and I am curious about what you think. Before the part of her saying bye and that they have enough time she says something along the lines of "When you reach the end of your journey you'll discover the truth of this world." I have been wracking my brain on the possibilities ever since that one Fataui member during the meteor event said that the sky was a lie. Of course I'm not expecting you to know the answer but I would love to hear your ideas. What about this world could be such a lie, that we must discover the truth of it? Is there anything during this quest that you think could add to this specific part of the story beyond when we heard the sky was a lie? The fuq is going on here? The world can't be fake or why would the sibling care so much about vengeance... so what the hell might be the truth and the lie?

What bothers me is that the point of going back to the ruin is to destroy the statue, and yet we didnt. And now dainsleif is on the abyss' tail directly, to who knows where with the eye of the first field tiller. If they were to discover he had it with him and actually succeeded at taking the eye from him, wouldnt everything we did here be pointless?

I love your focus on lore!! we need more lure discussions ! Genshin has so much of hidden lore gems . It's kinda odd with Dainsliff coz on one hand his nation was destroyed and turned into monsters by gods..and Abyssal is working against gods...but Dainsleff is indirectly working toward keeping gods because that means prevention of destruction of rest of Teyvant. Even tho he hates gods. Such an interesting complex. Abyss keeps chain of destruction going coz of no accepting present as okay balance. They seem to be fed by revenge. But at the same time they believe they are fighting for right cause. To stop the chain because in past gods were those who also seemed to do same. Irony. Especially if you think about it ...abyssal wants their own god..mechanical god..so in end they are becoming and replacing who they hate. It's gonna result in power shift but not justice shift.

More things to think about since khenriah didn't have an element of their own what if they made their own the way dain ran past traveller at the end reminds of Flash and Quicksilver what if khenriah mastered space and time manipulation and that's what snapped the unknown god's patience which made her destroy them well in any verse(world) there's always an unspoken tulle "Not to mess with time and space" may that's the principle she was talking about

idk if this were in the stream cuz i havent watched all of it but im gonna talk about the things that i noticed. first off the field tiller or the ruin guard at the stormterror's lair looks towards at the direction of celestia. dain said he will take eye of the ruin guard and he wont let the eye get in the wrong hands, but later on he went into the portal WITH the eye, is he going to take the eye and give it to the abyss order?? we dont know. about kaeya, him saying "mi muhe ye" doesnt mean i love you in hilichurlian, it mean "i triumph over you" maybe kaeya holds a grudge against celestia and its gods. he might work with the abyss to take down celestia. and idk the unknown god said "the arrogation of mankind ends now" shes maybe talking about khaenri'ah since khaenri'ah was born without a god but thats just a theory, A GENSHIN THEORY .

Traveling in meteorite directly points out in the way the wishes are delivered on the game, they came down in meteorites.

This is one of the best quests in the entire game so far. I was expecting the quest to be 15-20 minutes long (I think I was playing it for around 85-90 minutes), then Dainsleif appeared, the quest goes on and on, things happen, we fight the Herald once, some more things happen, we fight the Herald a second time, and then the sibling appears...I lost my fucking mind at that moment, I could not believe it happened so early and in such a way. After the quest ended, I was staring at the screen for 6-8 minutes. edit: GUYS, also why the hell the Traveler was NOT able to pass through the STILL OPEN PORTAL???? It is clearly shown that the Traveler got there in time and passed right through the portal when it was still open, without getting transferred wherever is was connected to. The portal close AFTER he passed through it and they made it clear with the visual effects. It was like he was denied access to whatever place it was connected to.

26:54 Not really... She explored Teyvat 500 years ago before The Fall of Khaenri'ah. As Khaenri'ah was being destroyed she awake her brother and tried to flee to another world but both ended up being imprisoned by the Unknow God. At some point during the 500 years and the present she escaped her imprisonment. The date is unknow. The only thing we know is that it was a long time before her brother. And we still don't know where, how and when the brother awoke before meeting Paimon. 28:34 Agree. The battle pass cinematic "The Gnostic Chorus" while it have some similarities with the story of the Travelers there are many things that don't line up. What makes it weird is that at the end of the cinematic Venti says "This is the story of your Journey, of your tale to be told." but its more like a part of our story. Like the Traveler brothers story is directly connected to whoever those brothers are. One thing is certain the Sister of that cinematic is for sure the one commanding the Abyss order.

After this story quest, I was like... what if we (the MC) is the evil one, or at least on the wrong side, although unknowingly? After all, we go around stealing and killing without real remorse, but there have been hints that not all of our enemies are evil (such as the quests with Ella Musk where we communicate with the hilicurls).

I think the plot point about the Khaenrians is very interesting. Sounds to me like Xiao's squad who also turned evil. Maybe the archons initiated the buster call on Khaenria because the same thing which happened to the Xiao's peers was bound to happen to them too. That means that the cleansing 500 years ago wasn't the reason for them turning evil but something else

hey, just so you know: The whole "Godly entity wiping the human race from existence for being too technologically advanced" is *also* the core frame of Honkai Impact story. The main characters are pretty much fighting for this to not happen (again). Imho that pretty much confirmed that "Archons" are the 1:1 equivalent of "Herrscher", at least from a overarching goal perspective: Powerful entities under the command of a destructive "will" that only want humankind to go instinct the moment they get too far. It is the form of alchemy that the people of Khaenri'ah created for the creation of life and is also the alchemy that Albedo uses, there are a lot of quote lines about this. I saw a theory some time ago that the traveler and their sibling were trying originally to find a planet for their people to live, there is some mention of this in Honkai Impact, I instantly thought about this because of the moment that the sibling says something like "we can find another world later to call home" I don't quite recall it now but it is something like that. I don't quite remember the theory completely because I saw it months ago but in this moment it feels fitting even more. We almost predicted that the Treasure Hoarders were going to have an importance in this and mess with the abyss so it's just a hope of mine that they are going to be more important and they wil have some role in this, after all they have did something aginst the abyss and they lost one of their leaders, they must be angry, so I guess they'll have their importance in some moment. And last and most important. Beware THE ABYSS HOARDER

Don't know if anyone else caught this but around 26:27 of the video, aether when he tries to enter the portal he has like a red(unknown god power as when she opens those stars) glow around him that keeps him from entering, and like he is the only who has it. Not even paimon when she chases after him has that glow on her. Maybe the unknown god left some sort of curse on him or possibly she is still using her powers on him? Just something that was weird I noticed lol

I don't know if anyone else notice but Dain says that the reason they were called Field Tillers was because they were based on an idiom "the land is not to be tilled with farming tools, but rather fought for with steel and blood." Based on Paimon's response about the dark origin of the name, I immediately assumed that it meant Khaenri'ah was a war-based society. Thus, could it mean that Khaenri'ah actually brought upon themselves the destruction by the Gods by causing war? We also have to remember the destruction is in Dain's perspective, thus as the one scorned, I think he would probably blame the Gods before himself and his society?

When I heard that your theories and other peoples theories were right when the characters said in the story stuff that basically confirmed that stuff I was blown away by how much of these theories were real

I think there's quite a lot of theorizing you can do with all the 'Field Tiller' (FT) info we got as well. I bet that Khaenriah was expecting to come into conflict with the gods and perhaps their 7 nations as well. They used these code names to likely hide the fact that they were constructing weapons of war from the gods. Also, being the most advanced nation, I doubt they would need weapons of war such as FTs and Ruin Hunters if it was only to defend against the other nations. Khaenriah was probably expecting this conflict to come quickly too. They created a prototype FT that could almost go toe-to-toe with Boreas at the height of his power, but instead of continuing to build powerful FTs they mass-produced less powerful ones. I con only think that the reason is because they needed to draw up their military power as soon as possible or because these weapons were meant for the other nations, not the gods. If you were going up against Celestia, wouldn't you want quality over quantity? The less powerful ones are still dangerous to the people of Teyvat and after the destruction of Khaenriah they dispersed to the other nations. Maybe that's what they were supposed to do. Dain's theory that the might be attracted to ruins of other old civilizations doesn't seem like a good expanation to me. He's a high ranking Khaenrian that knows everything about FTs except for why they dispersed across the world? If his line was true, wouldn't they just be attracted to the ruins of Khaenriah? We also know Jean had to stop a bunch of them from reaching Mondstadt. Finally, that line 'the land...is to be fought for with steel and blood' came across as slightly insidious to me; more offensive than defensive' Knowing Mihoyo, I doubt that Celestia destroyed Khaenriah ONLY because they were offended by their lack of worship(though it was probably a significant factor). I just doubt that it would be so black and white. Maybe they were worried that Khaenriah would for some reason harm the nations that did worship them? Otherwise, why wait until Khaenriah was a super power before smiting them? There's probably zero connection to this but most of the smiting the God of the Bible did to unbelievers was when it would benefit or protect the actual believers. He didn't just smite unbelievers just to smite unbelievers. The closest thing I can think of was the ancient Babylonians, but to them he just confused their language so they couldn't act as one nation, not destroy them. Again, really reaching. I look forward to this story going deeper and deeper.

Haven't heard anyone talk about this, but I find it interesting that the Traveler basically suggests to Twin that they should drop everything and ditch Teyvat. It makes sense for an immortal world-hopper. Contrast that to Twin's insistence on staying, like whatever fight is going on is worth fighting. Also, Paimon didn't even get offended at the idea of you leaving. Narrative slip up or maybe she has some knowledge we don't? 👀

Haven't finished watching the video yet, but yesterday just as I finished that quest I came up with question, why Dain is against the Abyss Order if it's objective is to dethrone Celestial gods? Dainsleif himself isn't pious person, for obvious reasons. He didn't mention what is his private goal but we can assume he's fighting with Celestia and gods too, or at least trying to find redemption. So, why does he want to prevent Abyss from reaching their objective? Is it because an Unknown God is his sister, what is mentioned in Gnostic Chorus/Battle Pass? She could be corrupted by some "force" (just like Honkai force in Honkai Impact) or by somebody's influence and she destroyed her homeland (Khaenri'ah) all by herself, that's why he wants to save her, bring her back the memories of old times when two of them were in Khaenri'ah before it's destruction The only reason I came up why Dain is opposing Abyss Bonus panel I think Albedo may be a homunculus with an ego of Gold, that's why Albedo said that "it may be possible he will try to destroy Mondstadt so MC has to be able to stop him"

Theres 2 (3, but the third does not physically exist) MANTIS warriors (some sort of Modified Soldiers) in the Honkai Impact 3 "Previous Era" timeline, thats 50,000+ years old that is still alive in the present (Current Era). So its possible that the twins we have in Genshin Impact are MANTISs with modified DNA/body to make them immortal. Just a guess really, maybe these two titles are not connected at all, but Dvalin did show up on Otto's screen during the Fallen Rosemary event cutscene where Otto is looking/observing a possible alternate timeline with Fallen Rosemary on the left screen, and Dvalin on the right.

Okay so, I had a thought about why Aether couldn't go through the portal, even though he was barely a second behind. So, since Lumine has an Abyssal like power, perhaps Dain shares a purified form of Abyssal power, one he purified through reflection of within or whatnot. Perhaps Venti gave him some answers he sought? But Aether was unable to go through because he has no ties to the Abyss. Food for thought?
