Take advice from Foamy the squirrel "Don't just, tHrOw A pUnCh. THROW A FUCKING CHAIR! STAB THEM IN THE GUT WITH A SHARPENED PENCIL AND BREAK IT IN!" @@Outlaw7263 Attacking the bully is certainly not good for playing a victim. Just pretend you're one of LGBTQ, call the police, and tell your story to news media, the world will love the drama. The bullies destroy you physically, you destroy them socially. I believe the latter is far more worse.

I hear ya. I made a fool of myself and the other kids took advantage of that, even when I reacted harshly to certain words they kept saying when I'm near them. The teachers tried to help me get used to it, but when I made it clear it doesn't work like that, they concluded that I was simply reacting to those words for attention. I never once thought of doing that, and I was offended that they even implied it. So yeah, as kids we were kind of selfish in that regard, but that is what we were because we don't know any better. If we get taught to be better, then we become better. If not, well, I'm sure you've heard what happened to those that sunk pretty low.

@@WildDancer101 I was that kind of kid in middle school. I overreacted over certain things that were said from other kids and would be used as an advantage to annoying, stupid, and weird kids. My patience would be tested at times, I would say stuff that sounded messed up when reacting to what they say or do. When I got to high school, (heading into senior year now) I became a chilled guy who just wanted to live life normally and mess around and all that, but I still dislike people in school, and I don’t really have any friends. Pyro’s story: He was a kid who was into fire because of movies and would play with fire. He would be looked at in school as a weird kid and would get bullied. His dad, possibly being from the military, showed him how a flamethrower worked one day and then Pyro accidentally burned his face. Pyro’s face was no fix with hospital work, so his parents decided they would have to hide his face. His dad gave him a military-style gas mask he used to wear in combat and Pyro went to school with it. One day, Pyro was bullied because of his mask and then something inside him snapped… he took out a flare gun from his book bag and set one of his bullies on fire. He caused destruction around the entire school and burned down his entire school… and this is because he saw the world through his mask as a magical place with sunshine and rainbows.

I mean I defended a friend once in school only was saspended for 4 days, and then I break someone's nose and I'm gone for 63 days. spy is the one I relate to the most. not the being picked on part, but the fighting back part.

I know it's often said to be unhealthy to hold grudges, but I definitely hold more than a few against my bullies and the school which facilitated them. At my secondary school, I was beaten to a pulp on a regular basis, threatened with knives, pellet guns, blunt weapons, ostracised and separated from everyone else except what few friends I had, and then the abuse followed me online, the one place I thought was safe from them. Bar the efforts of a few teachers who I was able to trust, the school did nothing. My abusers got away scot-free while I had to suffer in silence. After leaving school, I was diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder, which took almost two years of therapy to correct. It's been the better part of ten years since then, but I still remember the pain and suffering I went through as if it happened yesterday. I don't care if my abusers have 'improved'. I don't care if they're 'better people' now. Deep in my subconscious, I hope that karma comes for them one day, and that, in that moment, they'll feel even one iota of the pain and misery they inflicted upon me. Now, I have two degrees, and I'm about to start a new job that I think I'll really enjoy. From here on, I'll continue to improve my life, and those subhuman monsters can all burn in hell for all I care.

At my school they played favorites, gave me trauma from psychological torture, even casually dropping implied death threats, sometimes the teachers would use the favorites to assault us, they would have let them beat us up to a bloody pulp, but it never got that far (mostly), not because the teachers intervened but because the students never wanted to go that far, and if we tried to defend ourselves or learn how to defend ourselves in school, (with our bodies) we were punished for it except for the favorite students, they could learn how to do that all day, we were just supposed to take it, and one day the teachers were bullying a student that was already sui***** because of them, I stood up for him and was promptly punished, the school also the school were really good liars and so they could say whatever to get us in trouble, their were rules outlined but the problem is the teachers never did their part to follow them, and just chose to have us take the fall for them (though not really a fall because they knew that we were innocent)

relatable, some classmates just fake being "friends" like they would attempt to bully me and pass it off as "its all ok?" like wtf im not ok and if i say it's not they would attempt looking like nothing happened yesterday, even 1 day in p.e that one idiot decided to try kicking me out of nowhere and i defended myself then resort to FAKING INJURIES TO PAINT MYSELF AS BAD PERSON, i didn't even hit him so hard he "can't run" but was playing football with others like 15 MINUTES LATER, then there's another asshole that just talk worst shit to me for whatever reason, i just reflect back at him and resorts to trying to kick me but ofc i do it him too then tells his friends (FYI they are the same ppl i talked about before) then try to bully me right into the locker room but ofc i fight back and the whole class watches, then during it a whole argument starts, luckily there are some classmates that i would pray they become a millionaire in future, they defended me well enough with the bullying ending with a couple of insults, and i told the teachers and they just treat it as an daily occurrence, sometimes i wish i could just murder them but i wont because im better than this P.S this happended while i was from another country, whats worse i dont speak their language

I remember one thing that happened to me, pardon me for the misspellings Once in class i was trying to take a phisics exam, since i didnt come in the day they handed out And on the day i went to do it, my class was in a HELL state, because the teacher decided to allow people to do certain questions in group So i decided to get my chair close to the 2 other chairs of my best friends But i just could not do the exam, the loudness of the class was extremely annoying, and as a autistic person myself, that shit was beyond annoying and killing my patience So a certain girl kerp annoying me more by asking to "borrow" my chair and shit, i borrowed for once, then she game back, then she did it AGAIN, and i borrowed again (she was just fucking with me at that moment, im pretty sure) but on the third time, i got up from my table and lifted up the chair, about to throw it in her and screaming, what's funny is...the class got completely silent, and the teacher (who was kinfa of innocent i would say and never dealt with mad students) also got quiet and kinda of scared Now you might be asking, what made you not throw the chair? Well, it was because that bitch took cover BEHIND other girl, so if i tried throwing the chair, it would hit the wrong person and would get me into bigger problems Instead o just throwed the chair at the floor and ran out of the class breaking down, my 2 friends went with me trying to help me calm down I was honestly feeling like shit and i wanted to die at that moment I was always being picked on at class, and all because of what? Because i dont involve into their fucking "funny" games and shit, just because i was quiet and alone And you want to know the best part? That girl did not get into trouble, because the class was on her side since they didn't like me Only my 2 friends were at my side, but since 2 against 20 isn't enough to prove my inocence, i had to say sorry to the bitch and got into a little bit of trouble And to that day on, everyone keept making fun of me because i lifted that chair And noone else ever got into trouble And people wonder why some kids despise school

Not school really, it was mostly at home, I was verbally abused so badly by my parents that I literally wanted to murder them by the time I was 8, they almost completely destroyed my mind that couldn’t cope with stress in the slightest, I had ADHD and autism and was 8 years old how was I supposed to know better when I didn’t even perceive the world like all the other kids. I had to lie every single day about loving them for over a fucking decade. I felt like and probably was going insane from how much I needed to hide everything and be patient. MY COPPING MECHANISM WAS THINKING OF MURDERING PEOPLE, AND I DONT THINK I NEED TO TELL YOU WHY THAT IS A HORRIBLE COPPING MECHANISM. All I wanted was to feel happy, I once spent an entire 3 months without contact with anyone I cared about, I probably would have commit suicide if I didn’t use that copping mechanism and I wasn’t so determined to be happy one day and escape my family.

I relate a lot to Scout and I had some similar issues like Spy had when I was in school. I hated my school, the teachers put me in a classroom full of special needs kids all because I'm a visual learner and I wanted to be normal like everyone else, the pressure of not understanding physics and getting Fs was costing me my rank in JROTC my parents didn't take the time to acknowledge that I'm not a fast learner at the time, I was grounded and I couldn't play games or hangout with friends because of that damn grade it caused me to go mentally insane to a point where my brain didn't even use logic: My screwed up illogical mind thought if I got rid of the teachers in that class *permanently by any means* then the grades would go back to normal (I know, that's screwed up and doesn't make any sense). I was eventually caught with a knife at school, my mother had no words to say and my step father couldn't even fathom what was wrong with me. My chances of becoming Cadet Major were gone and were instead given to my friend who was a rank behind me, people began to distance themselves from me and treated me like an animal even more to a point where now I made up two mottos: 1. I don't isolate myself because I'm afraid of the world, I isolate myself because the world is afraid of me. 2. I Hate Humanity and so should you!

I remember when I was In highschool, I was put into special ed class, all because my father doesn't believe I can be in regular classes and be a normal person because of my autism. (He doesn't consider me human either...) I had family issues that lead to me being mostly isolated from people and schools for more than 4 years, so I was extremely scared and shy to even make eye contact or talk to anyone I didn't know, and got paranoid over every action I did, because I could hear many people talking behind my back. The special ed class was shit, half of the time it's just arts and crafts and the teacher expecting absolute perfection, on our wording body language and so on. Which made everything more harder ,since I barely done anything social for years, and they are the most annoying asses of teachers I've ever seen. The other students were driving me insane at times with the weird shit they done.(not all of them were bad, some were really nice people and some were just ignorant as fuck) I even felt like I was suffering segregation since I was in special ed they wouldn't allow me to have access to certent things or even baseball events, HECK EVEN THE BLOODY LIBRARY FOR MONTHS! All because they thought I would cause problems. The teachers would always embarrass me in front of other classes when they tried to take us to regular classes but they have to be with us at all times. One point one of the fights I had with a teacher lead to her trying to convince me that I was like the other special ed kids and tried to use my personality as the main reason why I can't be normal for half an hour, but I think she wants me to stay because I overheard something about special eds being paid more with the more students they have in their class. After 2 and a half years of mental pain and emotional suffering, I had to be transferred to a different school. Instead of my dad doing the meeting to get me in there, I decided to do it instead my self. After that I was put into regular classes and actually started learning, and made a few friends. And I actually felt like I was treated as a person for once in the past 2 and a half years by teachers. I felt like I could actually talk to people. Which I was scared to do, but did it anyways. Glad I graduated from a better school that actually tries to teach me things.

Middle school and high school was the worse for me. From getting beat up, to being shoved in the lockers, staying in a locker for nearly a week, being hated by all students teachers and faculty, and almost getting expelled for a *We just hate you* reason. High school was a bit less physical and more verbal. The teachers would always glare at me for being smarter than they were, and all the students, even newer or older, had some way to threaten me if I didn't give all the answers or help them on SATs. I got pure Fs on my report card one time because I exposed the principal for stealing money from school funding AND parents with new students to waste on nightlife things. These parents were being robbed in plain view because a simple credit card scam worked. I'm glad it's over, though. I'm doing more than better and I even have a singular best friend. This is the main issue why so many kids who were abused by family members/friends or put down by students and teachers ended up going down dark paths like committing hate crimes or even led them to bullying. In fact, bullying is the main reason why so many school shootings happen every time all these years. Things to need to change and for good since things like this can’t go on forever. Massacres that took place in schools or universities like Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, Parkland and Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX need to end and gun control laws should also be fixed.

I kind of relate to scout ; TLDR - for around 5 months I was called names and was picked on for the smallest things when I was only minding my business. So most of the people in my year (year = grade) made fun of me and since I was introverted and had forgotten how to make friends mixed in with the fear that I might not even be worth talking to due to the thought that I have nothing interesting to say plus the fact that nearly every one isn't a good option to have for a friend or atleast someone to talk to during lunch as they were the people who had been picking on me, I was doomed to be on my own for most if not all of the time to the point where I became the quiet kid.I skipped school more often because of this.Later people tried to make me think they're the victim and it kind of succeeded because I started to overthink about how nice I was to other people but after thinking about it during class instead of paying attention, I had done nothing.I told the head of year after it started to get physical and luckily they were on my side and punished them.A few months later, the whole "extrovert adopts the introvert" thing happened, and I had found myself being part of a friend group I feel comfortable being in.Then the whole name calling thing had stopped by alot with only 1-3 people doing it. I didn't suffer as much as the people in the comments but it was still a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with and I don't want to go through it again. And there may be mistakes I made in this paragraph that I for some reason proofread too many times than I'd like to admit

Yea my most extreme school story was when my bully was punching me on the bus I had been dealing with it for months so I was done at that point and so I grabbed his head smashed it into the metal bar in the middle of the windows like 8 times before the bus driver snapped me back to my senses and we went to the principles the next day, he started it so he got in trouble more but I still got detention for going a bit overboard, I think was justified since I had bruises and marks all over my arm making my parents think I was doing it to myself. That’s my story so take that from 7th grade me I should mention I tried being a pacifist and telling teachers but no one believed me until the bus driver turned that footage in and they realized they were dumb.

I’m completely with Scout on this discussion. School life for me was average. I didn’t really get bullied in elementary or anything, still had friends and had a great time. Middle school was a challenge though, I was bothered a lot by annoying brats and had to deal with the weird kids. Some doofus even pushed me down to the floor one time and tried to choke me. I was so pissed that day at him, that we both went to the office for this and he apologized, but I’m glad as hell I won’t ever see him again. I never forgave him for that. Still finished middle school with a bang, but high school has been kind of troubling for me, especially with Covid. I never had any friends, well colleagues, but I still had no friends. I was always busy with work every single day. Some of the teachers I experienced didn’t seem good to me. Back in January, I even was accused of trying to hit a girl when I had no frikin intention to do so and no part of my body was raised to do it. I was just messing around and being myself, when some prick told me that I was making people uncomfortable and to sit down. She must’ve had reported me too, cause the teacher had one of those talks with me after school, and from there, the student who reported me almost ruined my social reputation and I never forgave her ever again and I never dared to want to talk to her again. I would insult her behind her back out of anger, even when she is in view. I’m heading into senior year, and I just want to get high school over with. You’re not the only one, Scout. I feel ya buddy.

I'm 24 now but I really can't remember much from my school years, only a few vague memories come to mind. For whatever reason I felt like I didn't really 'exist' in school. I was quiet, so quiet that even my friend group would forget I was there sometimes. I admit I seemed like I really was nobody, nothing interesting to say or add, just a walking blank personality. I was part of the 'nerd' group so I got picked on a bit but nothing too bad. About a week ago a couple mates and I were looking over the names from our Leavers hoodies and while they could distinctly remember over 95% of the names I could barely remember 5% of them. It doesn't bother me now, the past is irrelevant to me and I've grown a lot since then. Who I was then doesn't exist anymore, who I was a year ago doesn't exist, who I am only exists in the now, the present. I am constantly learning more about myself each day and becoming better for it. Easier said than done of course but the fact remains that the past does not define the present or the future. Perhaps I am naïve though, I haven't experienced heartbreak or any major loss of anything. My emotional health has never really been tested. Oh apologies I've rambled on now haven't I?

I think if it was to be accurate with TF2 lore and the setting. most characters would have had pretty different backgrounds since a lot of them come from different countries. I went into a massive rabbit hole about it as well. -Scout: probably had to hear a lot of anti-communist propaganda considering he was probably in school during the 1950's. Most likely a dropout due to his general delinquency. He also mentions how he grew up in a rough area in Boston in the Meet The Scout trailer. It's also cannon that he built up his agility from outrunning bullies so it's likely he was picked on by larger kids, including his own brothers. -Soldier: probably went to some shanty midwestern schoolhouse during the great depression. Maybe he graduated from high school, but it's hard to tell since his canonical decline in intelligence occurred via lead poisoning which could've been before or after high school. -Pyro: [REDACTED] Demoman: Since he was raised in Scottland and is implied to be at least over 30, may have had a point during his school years during the Battle of Britain in which Scottland was subjected to 500 bombing attacks from the German Luftwaffe. Probably would've been discriminated against for being a Black in a place where everyone is pasty gingers. Also him loosing his eye as a kid probably messed with him a lot. Heavy: Heavy is rumored to be around his late 40's early 50's so he would've been born around the time of the Russian Civil War. Since his family was imprisoned and sent to a gulag due to Heavy's father being a member of the white army, he probably spent a lot of his early years in prison. It's cannon that he also has a degree in Russian literature so he maybe got that degree after he and his family escaped prison. Engineer: I think Engineer probably had a better than average upbringing compared to the rest of the mercs. He most likely excelled in school due to his 11 science PhDs. Though he was probably picked on in school for being a bookworm and for being short. Medic: While Valve has explicitly stated that his age is "unknown" though he's speculated to be between 45 to 50 years old. So he was probably born shortly after WW1 and had a really crappy childhood during Weimar Republic (I'm not going to state how this upbringing affected his potential political views for obvious reasons) but probably was gifted enough to go to a good school and learn a lot about medicine. Though he could've also come from a wealthy family and didn't have to deal with the economic misery like the average German during that time. Sniper: We do know that he spent a lot of his days alone during recess hiding up in trees because he felt different from all of the other kids. So we know for sure he was a loner in his younger years and still is as an adult. Spy: He was a really interesting one to look into due to his canonical relationship to Scout. I speculated he was born in the late 20's so he grew up with the great depression, France's political crisis in the mid to late 30s, followed by the German occupation of France in WW2. It would've been 1944 by the time Spy turned 18. So it's safe to say Spy grew up in a really bad place. Hell, he could've joined the French resistance during WW2 as a teenager. Though since Spy has a lot of expensive things alongside his dapper manner, he could've also come from a wealthy family and not have had to deal with the depression. But it is very likely that WW2 would've caused a ton of issues for Spy and potentially turned his high school years on it's head regardless of his wealth.

Reminds me of this one kid in my English class during freshman year of High School. He was an a**. He called the teacher a racial slur at least once (she’s Latina) and another class he played loud music in the middle of her discussion on his red Dr. Dre Speaker. One time, we did a project where we had to do a skit based off the story we read about this chess prodigy. For some reason, he left his group and walked over to mine. He started moving the pieces when we were trying to rehearse. I told him to go away (making the ‘’shoo” hand motion) and then he called me nazi. Then his group mates found him and more or less dragged him back to their rehearsals. Few weeks later, he called me a terrorist because I greeted my friend with finger guns (it was a thing I used to do a lot back then). After that year though, I don’t know what happened but I never saw him again.

Ngl, by the end of high school, things started to clear up for me, but middle school was hell on earth. I was constentally made fun of and the rumours that where spread about me cause me to break down IN FRONT IF THE GOSSIPERS multiple times. My “friends” stopped me from doing anything about it bc they would be kicked out of the circle. To make it worse, people would blame annonomus bulling (there was a problem with cyber bullying in my school) on me. And when the school got shot up, I took the fucking blame for it. According to the rumours I have been expelled for everything you can think of at least three times. I fucking hate school so much.

honestly sounds like hell on earth. The only reasons why i hate school is that it's boring, it's got an outdated system being used, and essays. DEAR GOD ESSAYS. Those things singlehandedly made me fail my first year AND be the first one in my family to fail despite me being one who usually passes with flying colors. i was virtual that year. But, once again, nowhere fuckin near your shit experience.

For me, High school was... not good. In freshman year, i was able to put all my emotion into a writing assigment. That assignment was interpreted as a threat, and that teacher wanted me thrown in jail (which would ruin my life if i managed to survive. A criminal record of threatening a teacher would bar me from most jobs). My mother, being the only person who tried to understand my autism, managed to prove that i wasn't a monster. So they sent me to "therapy" (rehab for an addiction that they caused because this newfangled technology is at fault and not the outdated and oppressive public schooling system). I only had 1 friend before that. Afterwards word got out, rumors spread, and everyone who heard started avoiding me due to the former principal's narrative (heard he stepped down because of the basketball coach's actions involving students... and I was probably his next target). And at that "therapy", I met the only woman I've ever fallen in love with. The last day we saw each other was the day I wanted to tell her how I felt. I never did because I felt that She was too good for someone like me. I realized that she probably loved me as well, and not a day went by since then where i don't regret my silence. Now I can't muster up the ability to talk to anyone in person to the point where I've grown extremely distant to my own family, while i knowingly indulge in self-destructive habits because I lack the strength to end this misery.
