5:20 Mönkey, that's the radioactive symbol, it's a warning sign that the thing the merc's are holding is dangerous. Also, it doesn't look like that it's randomly placed on the weapons, all the placements look intentional. Yes, sticker warpaints aren't usually that good, but this is an exception.

With the mann of the people cosmetic, I think it bothers me more that both are paintable and next to each other, so it blends together well on top of being gaudy

Personally i like the colorful warpaints (if they look good) but i think good looking war paints that stick to tf2s style and color pallete should also be added. It should be a mix of both

I've seen many takes on the "missing texture" warpaints but I'm thinking 1: include the texture the ERROR model uses as a tertiary part of the paint 2: "atrocious absence" as the name 3: just make the texture lower quality the further it gets from factory new Edit "missing in action" works too

I like your guy's tastes in warpaints,my current problem is the exasperating over minor warpaint issues, I get it, fuck the sticker warpaints, but the argument over FN has to be the most desirable is kinda dumb in my opinion, I think both extremes should be taken into consideration, the rock warpaint that turns gold should be given the advice that only some parts of the wear should be gold while other areas are more common ores or something, while also adding leading edge details so they are only available on FN and MW, I think that would balance out the warpaint

I think it's more about personalization for some people when it comes to certain unusual effects, war paints etc. rather than what they think is consistent with TF2's art style, hence why Galaxy Glimmer (?) was sought after. Why do you think there's so much neon stuff and among us or some shit like that in the workshop lol

I do agree that coloring for the Mann of the people cosmetic should only be on the tie, i think the badge should just be redone into a "Vote for Me!!" Badge and give it it's own separate style. But this is just my opinion which obviously no one cares.

I find the guy who deadass made an amogus funny because of the two other guys who made way cleverer Amoguses and tied them into both other references and their own styles. (The bonehead and the Monsters Inc one. TF2 workshop is down rn, so I can't get the names.) And I think you were a little harsh on the scout sleeves for being paintable. It's not like it's too distracting from the main color of the scout, so the paint does no real in-game harm. That spy cosmetic looks horrible painted though, why was it both the vest AND the tie, that looks so bad. And it actually does mess with the color profile a bit, if it was just the vest or tie, it'd be fine, but both just makes the center color too different from team colors.

I think that the tf2 workshop is very slowly recovering to better items, as the burnout of constant junk items floods peoples inventories. But I also think it needs to be pushed a little harder to be better, and quality control is something I feel should be enforced, of course it's a touchy subject and can create some loopholes and such, but I think it needs it to recover Some of my favorite in game items are classic older cosmetics, that sadly, due to the influx of junk, have either been pushed up to being to expensive, or pushed down to being dirt cheap. But those older items that are just, simple, and fit, like the troublemakers tossle cap, graybanns, some of medics helmets, the soldiers stogie/soldiers stash, the various coats/shirts, even some of the slightly tacky Hawaii cosmetics are nice, like the heavy tourism or the one that's the same but for medic, other good hats are the various older helmets for pyro, the hot case, certain fitting gloves and boots, the macho Mann, the reggaelator, spies various dapper hats and coats, and on and on and on, so Many good items that were only around the first few years that cosmetics were around, or are simple, class specific, and made to be a part of tf2, not for tf2. The main problem with what we have nowadays is you have all these hats, and every single one is all class, to make it more appealing if you get it strange or unusual so you can go "Yay... I guess, unusual all class ballooniphones?" And you can't look at the item and say to yourself, "yeah x_class would wear this, this fits their personality and what they do." Unless you say it like "Yeah I could see this class wearing this because tf2 is haha wacky funny and they are insane" insane people still have style smh lol. Anyway, that's what I think, the workshop is improving slowly, but it needs quality control, and a push from valve as a wakeup call, to say, "we won't accept this type of low quality cosmetic anymore for the purpose of money and free self mades" I hope this happens and pushes creators to put in more effort and time and quality into every single cosmetic.

Making higher wears more desirable than lower wears never works, if you look at skins that do that in csgo like the p90 off world. The fn off world looks dog compared to the battle scared one, but the fn is still the most expensive. It doesn’t matter and it makes the skin much cooler.

I feel like half of the problem with skins is that some of them look really fucking good, but they just aren't suitable for TF2 as a whole.
