Best tip for tf2 on controller, do NOT turn off the gyroscope, its the only way you can actually aim

@@Chris_Husk Sticks are not uses for aiming in eithercase, for movement(in case ofnrocket jumping maps strafing mostly) and view snapping. Traditional stick aimingnis awful, you could try but no matter what you do its a miserable experience.

As someone who has played on tf2 with an Xbox controller for the 2 years that I have played the game, it’s so funny seeing people struggle so much at first If you’re wondering how I do it without wanting to break a lamp, it’s called having 2000 hours in plants vs zombies Garden Warfare 2 on my Xbox beforehand

fr I think someone can be a top player in practically any shooter if they put in the same amount of time as anyone with a mouse, I still find mouse more comfortable but I am thinking about playing cs go exclusively like that

This feels like one of those videos you're gonna look back at when you're much older, and cringe at in embarassment at your younger self. This isn't an insult. Just one of those "I am my own worst enemy" kinda things you might experience if you re-watch this years later.

Here's a real challenge for you. NO MOUSE, KEYBOARD ONLY. Use these commands to do it. cl_mouselook 0 (lets lookup/lookdown actually work) Bind a group of keys to +lookup, +lookdown, +right, and +left. You can adjust the "sensitivity" or the speed you turn with cl_yawpeed and cl_pitchspeed. Make sure you bind two other keys to +attack/+attack2. It's one hell of a challenge, I can tell you that.

I remember I used to play TF2 with a controller when I started out. That probably didn’t help much.

For a time I did use a controller to play tf2, and it was hell, you need to ramp up the in game sensitivity to max to get anywhere and that a lot of the time just isn't enough to compete. I did eventually move to keyboard and mouse and while I do better, I still need a lot of practice.

Honestly in general TF2 is just a really weird game to aim in because of how fast everyone is moving and there are no accuracy penalties. Even for KB+M players coming from other FPS games it takes a while to adjust since you can't flick onto enemies and instead have to predict their movement into your crosshair.

I just got a steam deck and have been trying to play TF2 with flick stick. Despite what solarlight says, it's been a nightmare of an experience and I still suck arguably more than when I first started playing TF2. I'll get there but man this game is simply built different

Lol it reminds me of the time no matter what i did i couldn't set up the m1 on my controller , the control bindings indicated it should work but it didn't . I had a mental breakdown and went to buy a mouse (i play on a (very crusty) laptop )

Fun fact, on Xbox if you use Microsoft edge it's possible to use GeForce now and play games like tf2 for free and not needing a pc. That's being said it requires a controller so it is a legit nightmare with lag as well. Good video nonetheless
