Today we show off the plane flying using the Auto-Flight System in the NAV mode that flies the plane using lateral navigation.

Just want to thank you guys for what you're doing. The 717 has always been one of my favorite commercial aircraft and I said way back in the day (2009 - 2010) that flight simulator lacked a quality and realistic 717. Can't wait for this thing to be done and get back into simming.

I'm surprised someone actually did a 717 as well, with complex systems. PMDG made the MD-11 (very similar systems) and AFAIK it didn't sell well.

Which is a shame considering the md11 was one of the most interesting planes PMDG has made. Too bad it got discontinued like that.

Nice to see you guys doing this aircraft. I've worked on it for only a year but's very interesting indeed!

B717! This is very exciting to see in development. From what I've seen so far it looks great and is quite realistic. Keep it up guys. Will definitely be buying this. Hoping to use this to assist in training emergencies and abnormal procedures.

Can you guys purposely put the plane into a deep stall and see how it recovers

Will this come out for P3D as well?

Just like the md11

Bit of a cross between MD90 and MD11. The engine start switches are overhead the captain instead of near the throttles for one.

Why you make it for P3D? Its a dead sim with the coming xplane 11 and in xplane is easier to make planes. I dunno the reasons but anyways it looks great, nice job

P3D is very much an active sim in active development with plenty of users. Developing for ESP based engines covers most of the market share and allows for the maximum amount of flight simulator users to part take in the product. -J

TFDi Design people see this worls in 3 ways, people like me as a simulation, try to be as real as it gets, other people like this as a game (mostly), and in the end there are some people that take this as a market. Im an ATPL and I use simulation to get in my mind the procedures so I have no doubt when im really up there. You can make planes for games or simulators, thats the real choice. Anyway your airctaft has a really good visual aspect, and if you worked well enough it might have good physics and systems (i cant know it).
