Version 1.0 of TFDi Design MD-11 being released July 2nd, 2024.
Using Beyond ATC with FS-ATC-Chatter to fill in ATC traffic.

Beyond ATC still has a bad tendency to give you vectors to visual instead of RNAV or ILS and puts you too close to runway.
Time Stamps:
00:00- Pre-flight
16:50- Pushback
27:00- Taxi to runway
31:55- Ready for departure
56:30- Top of climb / Cruise
5:54:00- Top of descent
6:13:00- Short final
6:15:00- Landing
6:17:23- Taxi to stand

the MD11 feels like a ghost release. I haven't seen much about it but wow it looks good

It was released today to the general public. Besides, I think most would prefer modern aircraft, which you generally see more of on KZfaq because that attracts viewers. Nobody streams the Maddog MD80, for example, which I plan to show off more soon.

Very interesting plane. The MD-11 was the best masterpiece of her era, and finally someone made this plane for the Flight Sim! :)

One pro tip about the MD11: to start the APU, you don't need to press the start/stop button all the way up on the overhead. Normal procedure is to press the APU PWR button on the electrical panel, that will initialize the startup. This way it will also shut itself off automatically after you close the APU bleed.

Compared to the Fenix, Maddog X, and PMDG how hard is it to get going? Is it as hard as the Mad Dog? Or similar to the other high fidelity?

Pre-flight is definitely not as laborious as the Maddog as it has allot of automation, similar to the Airbus A300 I would say, even easier. Extended simulation (failures) is coming post release by the end of the year.

Thank you! That's a hard question to answer and I would hate to say yes and for it not to live up to someone's expectations. I bought it when the collector's edition was offered but I hardly flew it until a few weeks before the public release because it had many issues as one would expect with such an early build. It is now a lot of fun to fly and I have a sweet spot for classic airliners like this. If you enjoy other planes such as the Maddog MD-80 from Leonardo then you would probably enjoy this plane. Currently, it has a few bugs that will be addressed soon however, in my opinion, the current issues do not stop me from having fun.

man if you cut the video so it isnt 6 hours long and you used your voice. views and subscribers would go up like 10000%

Thanks for your suggestions. At this time my situation around my house with family around me I can't entertain with my voice. Maybe at a later time. :) I put chapter marks so you can skip to the highlights and also leave it uncut if anyone wants to sit back and see the views along the way.

Is Beyond ATC worth it? I don’t like using Vatsim but the default msfs ATC is atrocious.

I share your opinion on the default ATC and Vatsim isn't for me personally. I think Beyond ATC is very worth it. It's improved a lot since it was released a few months ago. What I like about Beyond ATC is the automatic radio tuning and having my virtual flight officer do the talking as it's more realistic as I am the pilot flying. Also, the conditions around me are not conducive to using a microphone for now so I can use the selections given to me via the interface.

@@ZetaAquilaeSimulations Sounds great, I will definitely be buying it, I also like having the first officer do all the talking so this will be perfect.
