A small, stowable electric bike would be pretty awesome for getting around places you can't drive. I guess bonus points if it is made by Honda and comes as an option for a Honda vehicle.

If you were around in the early 80's we had all had access 49cc Honda Spree's. Just not foldable but likely identical motor/drivetrain. Kids 11-14 had these everywhere in my neighborhood.

Thank you Kase and Tommy. Love innovative Japanese KEI cars, and the Honda City looked like a great buy, then found out about Motocompo option sent it off the charts

Back in the 80's I would have enjoyed having this in the trunk of my 63 Galaxy or 71 Mercury for emergencies. Today, a cell phone is more than adequate. lol

Well,Honda brought back the Honda Trail, Honda Monkey, Honda Dax so maybe theyll bring this one back too! I just acquired my brand new from Honda dealer the 2023 Honda Monkey in Banana yellow yesterday (Feb 26, '23) they are much cooler in person! EFI,5 speed,ABS and overbuilt!

I had always wondered why cars like Skylines in the 70s had English badging on it when we never got the car here and apparently the reason why Japanese automakers use English on cars (or the motocompo here) is because shortly after WWII they would start importing vehicles to the US and wanted to be more like the Western world.

The Grand Poobaw has arrived! Just need a red Shriners hat! That aside it is nifty even if not my taste. I love teeny cars(all cars). But as I'm 6'2 at 200-220 on average(fluctuates often), not a good ride for me. 5'9 150 sure 😆🤣🤷‍♂️ - But seeing your enthusiasm is always fun, whether it's my style or not!

Im 55 too. Just picked up my brand new 2023 Monkey in Banana yellow. Wasnt able to get an original monkey in the 70s that were 50cc now I got one with 125cc,5 speed,EFI and ABS! Yes I know,mid life crisis ha ha

I remember years ago seeing these listed for $2500 thinking that was outrageous. Honda needs to bring this model back in EV form! They're going retro crazy and this would make a perfect addition to their lineup (Navi, Monkey, Grom etc). EDIT: This aged like wine.

The new one is very disappinting, its an electric version. The purpose i would have wanted to use it for is a last mile vehicle to take on plane rides. Because i want to learn how to fly, but the old one is better for this Because i wont have to be limited to a very short area from the airport, i can just fuel it up and go further.

Unfortunate how we cannot have nice things today. This would be ripped with narratives of safety, pollution etc, rather than hailed and given credit for fuel savings, space savings for apartment/loft living, traffic congestion savings, parking hassle savings etc.
