GM (or somebody) would do great to calculate range while towing INCLUDING hills (which gives u regen on downhills). All the inputs are there. Google Maps bicycle mode gives elevation. As soon as the truck comes to highway speed then drag can be calculated. It knows where the charging stations are so it can suggest you stop, or not. This simple math (almost) eliminates range anxiety, but it is more than anyone really wants to do on the back of a napkin.

Pros: LOVE the STORAGE spaces, inside design is medicinal but more welcome, 10min charging is very welcome, and other touches but, Cons: The thing with small icons on at arm distance is that icons are difficult to find, press and then wait for something to happens. buttons, especially for important things like, making sure that a electric only truck does turn off, is really important and should be mechanical like a button. Why? Its electric, AAA will not deliver you 10min of charge like they do 3 gallons of gas. Range anxiety comes to play here. Does the truck come with a lifetime of anti-anxiety pill??? Also, I don't have eagle eyes, don't know anyone who does, so why are the icons SOOO small???

There should be a reminder when the door opens or before it's closed that there's a baby or pet on board. Andrew and case just tested it, they did 232 miles towing 6500 lb cargo trailer. With the 350kw chargers, it would take about an hour to charge to 100%. 80% would probably take 35 ish minutes and you could go 180 miles. We're getting very close to that. They should make a removable diesel power pack option that sits in the bed that can optionally charge the truck on the move for range extension. Basically a removable hybrid capability. In addition because this is a work truck the power pack could be used as a remote power bank for lighting, heavy tools and welding, transfer pumps, emergency generator etc while still allowing the truck itself to be used onsite by itself. "They" already tell you not to park your ICE truck indoors while idling and do not store your gasoline in open containers due to "thermal events" that happen.

What I don’t get is why is it this chief designer didn’t look at the history of the crazy cost to fix any damage to the rear quarters with this one piece side quarter design .. They rust hold water and cost 2 to 3x’s more than the separate bed design trucks. Someone should learn from that and see the consumers point of view. Poor judgement on Chevy designers!!!

What are these car manufacturers doing? They can't keep up with parts for so many new cars and trucks and yet keep coming out with new models that they won't be able to fix when they break. Its like short term financial goals.

Why do EV makers always do the range and power math for perfect weather and flat roads? That’s no where in this country and it’s becoming false advertising at this point. Just give people the lower number from the average in all terrains and weather they are expected to use and a perfect environment number. Like a “hey you can get 300 mi, but the truck has the potential for 390 in great conditions.”

That's already how it works. The Hummer EV is officially rated 329 miles but owners are getting up to 400 miles.

ICE trucks do the same thing. My Ecodiesel is supposed to get 28mpg. I only got that with stock tires on flat roads going 65 max.

My Escalade is supposed to get 13mpg city/18mpg hwy but it gets 8mpg city/12mpg hwy and that's with just me driving it. It's definitely frustrating.

Come on on TFL i know you can do better. How many times are we going to talk to the same engineer in more than a year’s time about a vehicle that hasn’t even touch consumers hands yet? 3 times i bet one more.

How often does a chief product engineer appear in public to openly answer questions about the product one on one? Like very rarely. TFL was wise to get the interview.
