RARE [Everett] Fire Dept 1996 E-One Engine Responding With Lights & Siren!

Captured here is Fire Station One of the Everett Fire Department in the state of Washington. As the main fire station in the city, it houses several Engines, a Ladder truck, a Battalion Chief car, Aid Unit, Medic Unit, and multiple specialized vehicles. In this video, you will see Engine 1 responding to various calls using an American LaFrance truck as well as an old 90's E-One Hurricane pumper, which is very rare to see these days. Medic 1 and Ladder 1 are also seen responding to separate emergencies.

A 1996 E-One pumper that still looks and sounds great. Man can that engine purr still.

So I'm watching this video and see E1. I'm thinking "how rare can this thing get? I mean there's no way in hell this thing is that old. the lights don't even rotate like they did in the 90s" Over 6 minutes later we finally get to see the rare E1 we were supposed to be looking at the whole time.

Thanks for the feedback! I can assure you the truck is definitely from the 90s and it’s very uncommonly used these days 🙂 I like to keep the highlights for last in most of my videos, and it made sense to include more footage from Everett as well, showing a variety of older and newer vehicles.

That Ford Louisville parked in the back is pretty neat, too! But definitely the old Hurricane is a sweet catch. Great close-ups of the Durastar and American LaFrance trucks too!

Yes the buses have a bicycle rack in the front so that you can take your bike with you.

We also had a rare catch in Vilnius, Lithuania. Usually, an ambulance would be a Volkswagen Crafter, Fiat Ducato or Renault Master with strobe lights but I once saw a much older 2002 Mercedes Sprinter with rotating lights. Was really cool to see while I was on the bus.

I think the Polish State Fire Service also have some active E-1 fire engines of that model in Gdansk, which were donated after the Cold War

Not the State, and not in Gdansk. Theyre in VFDs now somewhere in Southern and Central Poland.

In Everett Medic 1 is a fire department unit.

@@HunterAlejandro The ‘Medic’ units are usually advanced life support (ALS) paramedic ambulances in the state of Washington. They are often running out of local fire stations but are not always part of the fire department.
