I know of a guy who took poison. Didn't die. He was taken to Kijabe Hospital, when he was recupriting, jumped from the first floor. He didn't die but got paralysed. He took poison when on a wheelchair and this time he died. These things are generational curses because I have seen it happening in certain families.

He wanted to poison you through tea and you would agree to go with him and children to Two-Rivers? Supposed he decided to crash you guys on the road? that would be dangerous, the guy was already suicidal. Guys we need to see things beyond and rescue a situation. Depression,Suicidal thoughts and alcohol addiction are triggers from things people went through in their early lives. This society also needs to stop blaming wives for things that happen to their suicidal or addicted husbands. She has already gone through so much in silence by the time one is opening up its already water under the bridge. Church and friends become the worst judgement we need to come to a time of seeing things differently. It's never easy.

That geust is very right people go through depression in late life about things that happened in childhood and teenage school life and more including family emotional abuse. Its very real but people in our country are sometimes very insensitive and unhelpful with mental health struggles. Let us change the way we handle depression. God bless you for helping him for many times. I think another thing I have picked up is his depression was also triggered by money issues. This is so painful.... My sister tried committing suicide 2 times and each time she keep on threatening to take away her life.... Depression is real. Mental problem should be addressed broadly, thank you Wambui for bringing that guest on board...

People are so judgemental and are used of the evil one to destroy people when they are most vulnerable! May the Lord heal all those children going through a dark season. Mental health issues are very difficult to deal with because of the stigma. People attempt and commit suicide due to mental illness.

This story is so sad and heartbreaking but all I know is whatever was bound to happen from the beginning of time will happen no matter what but God is always in control. Counseling is offered freely at any government office. There are counseling professional bodies like Kenya Counseling and Psychology Association at Agip House and many others. The Government has incorporated Counseling into health sector.
