The Thai Airways Royal Silk lounge in Concourse E is the last hangover of when Thai Airways had four small Business Class lounges in all of the Concourses at Bangkok, and all with different themes. Now, only one is left, but it's better than you might expect, with a very good variety of food, and so-so self serve bar.
There are plenty of seats, a good view, and decent wifi.

"Small tables for cocktails" Kerching, love loungeindex ! That food though. My god, when you want to choose something that will go stale quick unless you wrap it up in clingfilm and sweat it to death. I should know, did both of those for my two ex wives. Only kidding. Cough, ahem, moving on Well it is a pier lounge of course so have to allow for that. Nice work Lounge liza .. index !

From someone living in Thailand with a Royal Orchid Plus credit card, I can say that the Thai CCs offering lounge access have been changed now only giving access to this lounge, so Thai have deliberately made a tier system with this one being worse than the better main D3 lounge for Business Class and SA Gold + the new “Tea room” only accessible for Thais own Business class, not SA Gold.

Looks a decent option, if a bit underutilised. Out of interest do you conduct such extensive research of the wine and cocktail lists on offer in lounges as you do on flights?
