I remember years ago when these agents managed to lose the passports! After that we all went to Penang for tourist visa, or crossed the border for an extension.

Just wanted to say how grateful I am for your effort in solving a question I had regarding what I should do to facilitate my 90 days in Pattaya. I was considering doing a 3 day flight to the Philippines at a cost of several hundred dollars but now, for roughly $107 I have a much easier, more convenient and less costly option. @@harryviking6347 Quite frankly, I'm looking at what is most convenient and inexpensive. Penang or Laos would require dealing with a different language and currency, as well as having to pack/unpack luggage for just a few days. I didn't see the PI as a problem as I'll be spending a 4th and final month there anyway.

@@harryviking6347 I'm sure Penang and Laos are options, but I just focused on the border run provided by First Class Visa Runs which was Cambodia...for some reason, 1st Class discontinued their border run to Laos, I do not know why...cheers

Absolutely GinPad!...It's a really nice deal....takes up 3/4 of a day, but you are back SAME DAY afternoon....how awesome is that? Correct. No overnight. Just zip-in and zip-out....no driving, lunch included...again for 110 USD, saves time and hassle...let agent handle it....gracias....

Thanks for your questions A6!...cost including the in trip lunch, is 3,700 baht (100 USD) at time I went (2/24). Check with FIRST CLASS VISA RUNS for current pricing and inclusions/exclusions. There is a recent concern with changes in the tax laws possibly affecting ALL foreigners (esp for those living or planning to live in TH) regarding income earned overseas and coming into Thailand. Check with Thai Authorities and websites for current info.

Hello, and thank you for the super helpful video. I just have some questions I was hoping you could answer. I am going to be arriving in Thailand by airplane, whick I then already have purchased the 60 days tourist visa and I will also get the 30 day extra at the immigration bureau, for a total of 90 days. If i do the visa run you just showed me do you know if it's possible to also purchase the 60 day visa together with the 30 days you get at the border? If that's the case I would be able to stay in Thailand a total of six months which would be great. Thank you

Thanks for the question O4!. 🤔 I do not know the answer, but I think it is 'NO'. I do not think you can purchase a Tourist Visa at the border crossing itself where you will get the re-entry stamp. Better to consult a Visa Agent with this question to get the most up-to-date info and consult the Thai Embassy website on visas....thanks for watching and commenting

I am a Hungarian citizen but I live in the US. My plan was to just fly there and get the 30 day exemption, and while in Pattaya use a visa agent to get another 30 days. I heard going to the immigration office is an all day event so I would rather use an agent and not waste my time. How much is the agent cost ? Would it be easier just to get a 60 day visa BEFORE I come ? I'm just nervous buying an airplane ticket and booking a hotel to submit for the visa application BEFORE I get the visa. What if I don't get the visa. How do people get around this ? Buy an expensive CANCELLABLE ticket just to get the visa and then cancel it and later get the cheaper NON-Cancellable ticket to actually travel with ?

Thanks for question TF6!...I'm like you, nervous about having everything booked and then waiting on the visa or having problems uploading documents, other issues with the website, etc. I would opt for option #1: arrive visa-exempt then use a visa agent. Literally, we were at Immigration 10 min then left (transport included). 4,000-4,500 baht (depending on visa agent) vs. 1,900 baht (on your own). Cheaper on your own, but an extension on your own is possibly (quite probably) an all day event. Certainly longer than 10 min. Cheers and good luck.....thanks for question and view....

Thanks AL5!..I don't think I talked about costs in the video, but I mentioned the prices in the video's written description, and here it is again: At the time of the vids publication (Feb24) cost was 3,700 baht (all inclusive) with a Thai lunch provided as well. So car, visa, and lunch all for 3,700 baht (103 USD).

Yes AL5!...driver waited on the Thailand side of the border crossing for all us to do our thing at the border: exit Thailand, enter Cambodia, exit Cambodia, and re-enter Thailand with a fresh 30 day stamp...then it was back in the van and return to Pattaya with a lunch stop on the way......cheers AL5....thanks for comment and view

Did you stay in Cambodia for 1h50 while waiting to return to Thailand? It is too long. I thought that by land, with agents, it wouldn't take more than 15 - 20 minute. It is cheaper and faster to make a return trip to Bangkok Cambodia alone by plane.

Thanks N3!...Yes, the time at the border took nearly 2 hours as there were quite few people doing border runs...a fly out and fly back in is certainly an option, but you have to take into account taxi fare to and from the airport. Let's assume a flight roundtrip to Cambodia is 100 USD then you have to add the round trip price for the taxi (60-80 USD). Taxi roundtrip from Pattaya to Bangkok will add 3-4 hours to the journey with flight time 2.5 hours and time in the airport plus there's potential costs for food too....with the land border I described, end-to-end Pattaya-to-Pattaya for 100 USD in 9 hours with lunch included....if you make the flight a mini-getaway, staying a few days in Cambodia for example, I think that's a better option.....thanks for your comment and view....

Thanks for question JB9!...answer is: no, they did not ask....usually applies to the airline on which you are flying into Thailand - where you may be questioned for a return flight, not at Thai Immigration on arrival at airport....never heard of it at a land border crossing, but consult other resources as well to be sure....thanks for watching and commenting...

@@Amu4020 Thanks for your comment A4!...I don't see why there would be a problem, but I am not familiar with that border crossing...best to consult the ASEAN NOW forum for your question...by plane there should be NO problem....unlimited border runs...by land limit is 2 per calendar year....hope this helps...

Thanks for the question HO!...First, let me point out, this visa run by land can only be done TWICE in one calendar year, but to answer your question, it DEPENDS on how you enter Thailand and what passport and/or visa arrangement you have when you arrive (assuming by air)...my example in this video uses a visa-exempt entry of 30 days (common for a lot of major western countries), after which I received an extension for an additional 30 days at Thai Immigration, then the visa run to get a fresh 30 days...other passports have different arrangements between their issuing country and Thailand...some only get a 15 day stay visa-exempt while others can get up to 3 months....and you can get a Tourist Visa prior to arrival (other visa are available too) which grants the holder 60 days before action needs to be taken to extend your stay....please consult the Thai Embassy website and other sources for more complete info regarding your desired length of stay and the country from which your passport is issued....thanks for watching and commenting...I hope this response helped....

Thank you LL7 for your question!...my example in the video is using a passport from a country which allows an initial 30 day visa-exempt entry into Thailand...there are some countries which are only allowed a 15 day stay....my guess, and it's only a guess, is that a border run from passport holders from these countries would be granted a fresh 15 day stay after a border run, not 30 days...again, please consult the proper Thai authorities and/or a visa agent for current and exact information....thanks for watching and commenting...

What a unnecessary carbon footprint because of the Visa laws. It's better to extend another 3 months and then not allow border runners to come back in the same calendar year.

Thanks L1!...Yes. Agree. Better yet, why not allow for more counties to enjoy the same 3 month visa-exempt stay on arrival to Thailand allowed to Russian and Chinese tourists (among other nations)? Not only an unnecessary carbon footprint, but an unnecessary money/time burner too...although the length of stay allotted is typically based on a reciprocal visa treaty between countries....the appropriate ambassadors to Thailand need to start that conversation and get the ball rolling.....thanks for watching and commenting....
