Join Nampla-san on an island hopping tour to the popular tourist destination of Phi Phi Island in Thailand!
Phi Phi Island, famous for its beautiful emerald beaches, attracts tourists from all over the world.
The Phi Phi Islands consist of several islands, and island hopping tours are popular.
We were staying in Krabi and joined a one-day island hopping tour to the Phi Phi Islands from Krabi.
It seems that there are also tours to Phi Phi Island from the Phuket side.
This time, we are going to "Maya Bay", the location of the movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
This movie made Maya Bay a world famous tourist destination after 2000.
The bay surrounded by cliff-like rocks is very impressive, and the emerald green sea is clear and very beautiful.
Due to the large number of tourists visiting this place, the coral reefs and marine life have been depleted, so the beach was temporarily closed for environmental protection from 2018 to 2022.
Currently, there are no entry restrictions and anyone can go, but be sure to check before going to Maya Bay.

"อ่าวมาหยา" สมัยก่อนเรือสามารถเข้ามาส่งนักท่องเที่ยวทางหน้าหาดได้เลยค่ะ นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถลงเล่นน้ำได้ แต่เนื่องจากนักท่องเที่ยวมาท่องเที่ยวกันมากๆ วันละหลายหมื่นคนและแออัดยัดเยียดกันแน่นหาดไปหมดค่ะ แบบว่ามองไม่เห็นทรายขาวๆเลย เพราะเต็มได้วยนักท่องเที่ยว ปะการังถูกทำลายจากสมอเรือ มีคราบน้ำมันจากเรือ ทำให้อุทยานสั่งปิดอ่าวแห่งนี้อยู่หลายปีค่ะ จนมี "ฉลาม" มาอยู่และอาศัยฟักตัวอ่อน เมื่ออุทยานเปิดเกาะแห่งนี้อีกครั้ง จึงห้ามนักท่องเที่ยวลงเล่นน้ำ จำกัดจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยว และให้เรือไปจอดส่งนักท่องเที่ยวทางหลังหาดค่ะ และให้นักท่องเที่ยวเดินเข้ามาหน้าหาด
