As someone who covers part of the time, I appreciate the informative, respectful comments about the ladies wearing hijabs. I've run into videos lately with Jewish ladies that have gone to wearing wigs to cover when going out because they are safer that way. Seems like so many troubles in this country these days. Thank you for giving us a glimpse at a more peaceful place.

Hotel staff ,the hours they must spend hoping on doing their job if and when tourists arrive since lockdown 🤦‍♂️ .Never had a bad experience in 15 years with them .Lovely people as of all Thai's .Thanks Lucas 🙏Lets hope the floodgates open on tourists going from now on 🙏

Late to the vid but I agree very nice place to relax and unwind. I come from a clean air place and I lived right on the Ocean until my late 20s and you could smell the fresh clean salt air. Did you find that there you could smell the salt in the air... cheers

I’m glad you like this resort. Anyway it’s not a good recommended resort to me; the resort surrounding is not well kept, the beach current is too rough, the breakfast don’t look good & etc.

Lucas should give video quality classes. The best.

Phuket has similar bungalows on beach - thavorn beach village resort.

That water does appear to have a rip current as the color on the surface shows. But yes, common for us in the states, many places have currents to some degree.

At 3.52 the beach use to be wide before all the properties were built on it. Now it's just long.

Ever since that earthquake a few years back and the resulting tusnami, I tend to like being just a bit higher up, especially at night when asleep.

Looks like a great place to hangout on the beach at Koh Lanta at a great price although this is now the rainy season. Wonder how much they charge for your bungalow during the high season?

Hey Lucas and Vee, what a beautiful place you are staying at there.The bungalow is one of a kind as Lucas mentioned. Unfortunate that it was overcast. You always find the best accommodation and this is it. I may have to side with Vee regarding swimming in the ocean there. There were some good sized waves. Can't wait to see part two. This room is typical bali style layout

a good read for waves is titled "Waves and Beaches" by Bascom, I gave my copy to my Taiwan scuba instructor in 1993 when I returned ot the USA, after reading it more than twice cover to cover (but then I like both beaches and waves). Bascom had a long 30+ or 40+ career with study of waves and oceans. **in the book is the great source against the common mis-belief of "undertow", but currents are important to understand around many coasts, especially for scuba divers and sailers (and that part of the UK where people can walk out quite far / but when tides come in, don't have time to get back to shore). **very easy to hit TMI on the topic for me, so I will leave it there.

That cottage was really quite roomy. I imagine it’s probably more costly during high season.

G'day Lukas, if Vee was nerves swimming at that beautiful beach, she wouldn't even get out of the car at our world famous beaches hear in Australia! Regardless Lucas in my opinion your footage is far superior than main stream media, in more ways than one, without the expensive tag!

I have never been to Koh Lanta but will try and make it on my next trip .That bungalow accommodation was truly amazing .I loved the teak hardwood polished floors ,and the large bath ,as well as the size of the rooms .

What was the large red fruit?

Is the beach houses available for purchase?

The more you EXPLORE Thailand....The better the odds of finding that "FEMALE THAI BEAUTY".... .... .... ....

Interesting. Can that big red fruit be eaten ? What is it ? Perhaps i will need to investigate further.
