This is the lunch time Lanna Kingdom tour and it had some winners you'd want to try - Thai pancakes, crispy pork and chicken from the most famous man in Chiang Mai, sweet treats, Thai sausage and so much more. But what we liked most was finding out about all the unique northern Thai authentic meals you might not instinctively think of, the most common food sources for Northern Thai's in times gone by - bugs, frog, water buffalo etc are all on the menu!
The street food of Thailand really is the best though, the variety is amazing, the flavours are all so rich and this tour was legit - we were so bloody full.

Stacey your facial expressions were absolutely Brilliant it just said it all looking at Dane having the Frog soup & the Frogs laying on the Grill 🫣🤣🤢 Dane you were so Brave having those Bugs 🤢 I don’t think i could eat any of those not got a strong stomach for it all . It's vital after a food tour like this! No, actually, you don't have breakfast and then eat so much you often don't have dinner so it's like a days calories in 3 hours

The Nam Ngiao (the second dish you ate) is extremely common in Chiang Mai but mostly in places with Thai language menus. Many Thais prefer it to Khao Soi but I think that they except that tourists won’t like it.

Lanette just returned from a "shopping" trip to Bangkok, and excitedly suggested we make a trip to Chengmai too. So naturally we looked up your videos, and had a great laugh, because like Stacey, Lanette will stick to safe food, and I will be consuming the bugs, frogs, eels, and chicken blood. Yum. Question: how much did you consume on the tour? Looked like alot of food.😅

Ahh the old 'shopping trip' - at least shes honest. Instead of getting there and just saying its hot, so lets go into a shopping mall! A Chefs Tour has the most insane amount of food, there is SO much value - we love their tours, it's actually impossible to eat it all

I am saving up to move to Chiang. What stores carry Tinactin or something similar? I have a medical condition called Athletes Foot and I know airport security will not allow me to take Tinactin with me on the plane.

So the frog soup didn't taste like swamp water? I've tried frog legs before and it tasted like eating the algae off the top of a stagnant pond...

😂 you legit made us laugh out loud! The frog soup was tasty, flavour like a normal chicken soup and the frog was chicken-like. No swamp tastes there!

It's a little of Burmese influence, but Hungle curry was developed to have its own unique dish and you normally won't find this dish in Myanmar.

@@DanegerAndStacey No. you won’t find this dish in Myanmar and Thais are open to international food. But Burmese in Thailand never sell this dish, they like to sell noodle salad. Hangle curry is sold by locals Northern Thais.
