For the last step you can use "Clean" component, it also rebuild normals. Or use a very short c# component to just rebuild mesh normals.

Wow, what a super interesting tutorial. I just saw that at the end, you still see some lines overlapping in the bottom parts. Any way to solve that? Change the starting geometry? Or maybe still go for less starting points?

Awesome tutorial. Thank You so much! You're the best! I have a question. I want to use two (or more) separate curves (with different settings) in my definition. How can I check collisions between them? When I put them into the Collider they join in a single curve. Should I use Graft or any other node? Thank You!
@grasshoppertutorials
@grasshoppertutorials 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tymer, to get two curves in is pretty simple, just follow these steps: 1. Make sure both curves are closed curves 2. Reference them in the same container 3. Flatten the output of the Line component (the one connected to Divide Curve and Shift List) 4. Add a partition list to the V output from the kangaroo simulator, and make the partition size the same as the number of pints divided on each curve at the beginning 5. Connect the partition List to the Nurbs curve That should do it!

Amazing! I'm using Kangaroo2 with rhino7 and I'm having some trouble with the collision goal. It appears to be seeking collisions rather than avoiding them. Any suggestions?

Thank you for sharing this! I am following your tutorial step by step and am facing a problem cause, for the Goal Object for my Bouncy Solver, I can only connect one geometry at a time. Thus it is not creating the same effect you are showing. Could you see if there's a way for me to solve this?

Great tutorial. I am a beginner and I have a problem with mesh pipe. I have a Rhino 7 and my mesh pipe is not the same as yours. It doesn't have an accuracy, rotation and segment, so I couldn't smooth the mesh. My mesh pipe has sides and tolerance and ending. how can I get your component?

Hey, instead of a polygon I designed a chair from surfaces. Could the algorithm run as well? I'm trying to understand if this could be efficient on any object.

Great tutorial, my first time trying to use grasshopper and kangaroo! But I can't seem to get the collider to work... I created my own file with cm as units and then followed your tutorial step by step. When I try to tweek the settings the line is still colliding and the "time square" is up to 240 ms and red. What should I do to avoid the line colliding with itself? thanks!
@HoldtSteen
@HoldtSteen 2 жыл бұрын
I am following this as well and have had some troubles with the collider. The thing that have fixed it so far for me, is changing the "radii" for the collider. Somewhere around 2.1 works for me, but I think it depends on how many segments the curve gets divided in to. So for 2000 segments around 2 radii works for me. More segments larger radii I think.
