To Kyla Stone or anyone planning to write an action novel: FYI: Shooting someone in a firefight, killing them, is not "In cold blood."

No, but for the family headed to Chippewa Falls, it’s ALWAYS cold blood. It’s cold up here and we aren’t even above Hwy 8…where the weather is really bad.
@___LC___
@___LC___ Жыл бұрын
@@lisasternenkind6467 how does this have anything to do with snowflakes? It’s about bad writing, by use of irrelevant phrases to add a few more words. There are so many examples of this throughout the book. Unless one is saying that the killing was done in a passionless manner, it doesn’t suit the situation.

I have a MASSIVE PLAYLIST of free audiobooks. If you click on my face, you can find my channel and playlists. From classics to modern, war to war memoirs, history to bios, scifi, fantasy, lots of post apocalyptic and zombie books (surprisingly fun and good too). Please come check them out. Theyre not mine, I just curate them on playlists. My personal "favourite" if you can call such a book such a word: The Gulag Archipelago. Its bleak, really bleak, but it truly made me grateful for my life, my country, family, and the simple things that so many take for granted. Bless you!

Bahahaha! Chippewa Falls is a long ass drive from the bottom of Florida. Also, Floridians act as if our normal winter is the end of the world. Where on earth would would some snobby, brittle prisses from Florida find to live in a wee town that enjoys listening to local musicians, while drinking our locally brewed Leinenkugels’ Red, while griping over the tourists love on the light beers Mede for them to get them through summer. Are these people ready to tube down the confluence of the two rivers on Father’s Day, it’s a bit chilly, even at the at time of the year. Do they know we can get 3’+ snow dropped on us overnight or during the night? That means snow blowing until Midnight…just wake up at 5 to be sure one can get out in the Corning?

I agree. It's a good book, good narration. The only silly part (from my perspective, I'm not stating fact here 😁) is when Dakota is finally a spit away from her sister's location (which was only 2 miles away, that 2 miles was an entire book mind you ! 😂) and she decides amongst all the other volunteers, she needs to partake in first aid training while the narration states how she can only think of her sister. I was like, WHAT !? 😂 THAT was the only part where I raised an eyebrow and had a good chuckle. Because even if a stranger was dying, her sister is alone in the dark starving for days.. priorities. Still, this was a good story, definitely worth a listen ! Excellent narration 👏👏👏

Thoroughly enjoyed this epic 😉! Thanks to the content provider for putting this out here! I read through many kind and appreciative comments. I've also read plenty of disparaging criticisms ,.. ? I just don't understand how/why an individual takes time to complain and pick apart the writing, a character, a plot, the author's research/knowledge/methods, etc,... Just flabbergasted that one would CHOOSE to invest so much energy into putting out so much negativity. For those that choose to offer all that low level muck, gotta a question for ya: Where's your book, books? Where can we find your voice talent efforts narrating a book? Send us a link to your YT channel providing free recorded books! Got anything positive to add to the world? Or will you continue to spend your days putting out incredibly low level stinky muck into the world? My humble opinion is that those negative inputs are what make YOUR world the uncomfortable setting where insults are the only way you can feel superior or worthy. Yukky must be your world. I feel for ya, hope it gets better.

Did you have a mental picture of what Logan looked like after awhile? Lol in my head he looked like the character ‘Shane’ from the Walking Dead series (Ricks old partner). 😜

In your mind Logan a muscular and tattooed Columbian looks like Jon Bernthal? You need to go back and watch season one of TWD.

Really great story. Excellent character development. I felt like it took a while to pick up steam - but that's because I'm always more interested in driving forces than action - but it paid off big time. I'd say definitely listen if you are into smart, character driven survival fiction.

Book 5 104:23, what does that mean?🤷‍♂️ The video is just 35 hours long...
@Eidolon1andOnly
@Eidolon1andOnly Жыл бұрын
Type out the time exactly as it appears 6:19 is 6 minutes and 19 seconds, which is not when book 2 starts. 6:19:00 is 6 hours and 19 minutes and much closer to when book 2 actually starts. "104:23" is completely meaningless. It's saying 104 minutes and 23 seconds, which is 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 23 seconds. Book 2 starts at 6:19:35 not "6:19"
@Eidolon1andOnly
@Eidolon1andOnly Жыл бұрын
@@Spielername 104:23 is the same as saying 104 minutes and 23 seconds. So 1 hour, 44 minutes and 23 seconds. Dummy doesn't know you can do hours minutes and seconds in a timestamp.
@Spielername
@Spielername Жыл бұрын
@Eidolon That's would look like if you meant 1hour, 44min., 23sec.. : 01:44:23. 104:23 just means 104 hour and 23 seconds. And thank you for the Dummy, I'll print it out and hands it over my bed.
@Eidolon1andOnly

@@Spielername No 104 minutes and 23 seconds. 104 minutes is equal to 1 hour and 44 minutes. Unless OP is even more of a dummy and actually meant 104 hours.

Storyline is great. The minutia, repetition and inconsistency of detail are painful. If you insist on describing someone’s hair colour 3 times, for the love if sanity, keep it consistent.
