Thank you, Alivia for creating this channel 💛. I've loved every moment and perspective you've been able to give us. It means a lot to a person who has found it difficult to find other anthro majors at my institution.

I'm guessing your review of Graham Hancock's woeful Ancient Apocalypse has gained you a few followers. That review is definitely what encouraged me to subscribe. I enjoy your down to earth approach to these subjects, and I value the knowledge you share and the way you share it. Congrats on this current success, and here's for wishing all the future success you deserve.

@@AliviaBrown You are most welcome. Whilst these numbers may not compare that favourably to some other KZfaq channels, 10,000 subscribers is an achievement worthy of praise, not one to be scoffed at. With regards to those aforementioned larger channels, consideration must be made for their larger budgets that enable them to employ larger production teams that include researchers, writers, film crews, sound crews, and then studio production crews that edit and arrange the final product. Many of these channels are, in essence, complete media companies capable of being employed by any television network, or any film studios, anywhere in the world. Special considerations also have to be made regarding the subject matter. Anthropology, historiography, archaeology, palaeontology, mythology and any other complimentary subject are not necessarily topics that cater to the giant audiences that the channels that provide social voyeurism command. So, as a one-person operation, who has to do everything herself, and support herself to pay her bills, I think you are doing remarkably well and wholeheartedly wish you success in all you strive to achieve.

We as audience of anthropology expecting a solid content like different anthropologists, various theories and recent developments in anthropology like collaboration of Data scientist & anthropology and there are lot of interesting facts these days like Neanderthals were dabbled with Gue making but honestly content is very poor in your channel. Please try to change your strategy in your next video, if not, we are going to unsubscribe !

Personally, I think that you may be looking at this channel in the wrong way. I think it is a great “general audiences” channel. I think Alivia does a superlative job of presenting the formal concepts of anthropology in a less formal, less ponderous way. I not only think it is a great introduction to anthropology for high school/early undergraduate students, I also think it’s a great introduction for adults. In particular, for parents who likely aren’t very familiar with anthropology as an academic subject, and who may have recently been told by their child that they want to study this subject as their major, this channel is the perfect introduction to the breadth of anthropology and for understanding what options will be available to the student after graduation. However, based on the requests I have seen from users on this channel, as well as other channels that provide introductory, general knowledge about anthropology, it seems that many people are requesting content that derives from questions found in the most recent several years worth of IAS Civil Service Exams for Anthropology optional, Paper I preparation. The videos on this channel would be a good place to start; but, they would not be a complete substitute for paid coaching/tutoring.

Thank you so much for this kind comment :) Yes, this is absolutely the goal. I want to make it as approachable as a field as possible while also allowing people to feel like they have a community within this field (as it can sometimes be a but isolating). Thank you!
