I hate this anime. I hate Oda. These were my raw thoughts at that moment. After finishing episode 483, I was filled with rage and frustration. This is by far one of the toughest watches ever in my life. Can't wait to hop on Live and talk to yall properly. ❤ If you are new to my channel then you should know that I Love this anime to death. I just express frustration that way.🙏🏾 Ps: I got up from my seat so pissed after 483, that it swung the chair and perfectly placed the strawhat in frame. We love you Ace🕊❤

It's not about magma being hotter, it's about Ace getting in between Akainu and Luffy to protect his brother. If Ace had turned into fire there, Luffy would have been hit.

Though it also possible that Akainu use Haki. (But its unlikely since he doesn't need Haki to kill Luffy)

@RaykinaBreaker I'd guess that akainu was using haki in that moment for several reasons. He absolutely wanted to make sure luffy was dead, he knew there was a possibility ace would jump in between them like he did, and he probably wasn't sure if luffy could use armament haki or not since he directly witnessed luffy using both observation and conquerors haki just a few episodes ago.

Also, Marco cuttinf off his arm isn’t a bad idea... but the way these powers activate, they take the shape you have pre-activation. If you cut off your arm when your power isn’t working (or you lose it to another undiscovered ability) then it doesn’t regenerate. The regen power operates with how your body currently is.

15:30 - the sad thing about Whitebeard, i bet he could tell before the war that his time was running thin, but he didnt want to worry his family, nor burden them when they need him most. he decided from the start that this would be how it ends, if Sengoku wanted him dead so badly, then he was going to give him hell and fight with every last breath. it's downright sad that someone would go to such lengths to kill a family man, just because they refuse to bend the knee to the World Gov and protect others from them as well.

It truly didnt matter if ace turned back or not akainu would still pursue them, luffy still couldnt go on much further, ( he collapsed,) and ace would still sacrifice himself to save him, cause akainu would still use luffys exahaustion as bait. The only difference would be, is he gonna go out facing akainu or running from him. As frustrating as it is akainu is sly and smart as well as ruthless, and both ace and luffy are being directly targeted by him.

Did you check the title(afterwards) of the episode 483? Because that episode title alone is the reason why people teach new fans to not read the title :) I was not as lucky to not read so i got majorly spoiled back when first watched. I was in denial until Ace smiled

They edited it down in the anime but in the Manga you could tell Ace actually got burned since they made his arm all black and charred looking. I know censorship and all but they could have at least made it a slightly red shade. And yes Magma is far hotter then fire. Fire can usually scorch rocks and leave char marks but Magma is rock literally so hot its melted.

1. I am surprised your mods didn't tell you to combine these 3 episodes...but I am glad you came to that on your own. 2. 483 was the episode that unted the world to not only despise Akainu, but hate Oda (that's proof of a great storyteller). Many even ended their One Piece journey at this point. 3. I'm always amazed by the impact Ace has made to the OP community (especially since he have not had much air time in the series) 4. My initial reaction was anger...it wasn't until Luffy broke that I started crying. Marineford was the most gut wrenching arc for me. 5. You will need to do another 3 episode reaction. 484, 485 and 486 need to be watched together. It's ok if you need to take a few days to process Ace's death before continuing... One Peeshe!!! 🏴‍☠

Apparently Oda was not planning on killing off Ace but his editor at that time convinced him to. Also a lot of people get mad at Ace for choosing to go back and confront Akainu for talking smack about Whitebeard. But as you can see, Ace was a person with a lot of self hatred and believed there was no place in the world for him. White beard gave him a place to belong AND became his father figure. Gave him a will to live. Made him realized he was loved. He would never let anyone disrespect Witebeard or Luffy. Also do people think the Marines were just gonna let them happily stroll out of Marineford? Lmao NO
