I've nearly watched every single SMM2 Super Expert no skip and it never once has gotten old.

For what its worth. That Super Metroid level really looked the part in some areas and the way it handled the powerups was reminiscent of Super Metroid. Probably as faithful a recreation as you can get. One of those bosses should of been the chozo statue.

That first level is the great example of a level that would be perfect if the creator added a checkpoint and lost the clear condition

imagine Nintendo made an endless mode for smm2 that progressively got harder as you beat more levels but only got a lot harder if you beat it 1st try and if you died a bunch it only got a little harder

It really is a roller-coaster that's weirdly not so Metroid but not so Mario but still a real fun experience. I haven't played Metroid 2 but if the level design is trying to closely reflect the original, then that's even more remarkable!

That Metroid level was amazing. There looked to be tons you didn't see (like an area above the falling icicles near the beginning), and you only found half of the coins.

Speaking of Super Metroid, you should do a challenge run of the game. Beat the bosses in reverse order (other than mother brain obviously lol). Using some sequence breaking tech you can skip basically everything and go straight to lower Norfair. It's really difficult and seems just up your alley. There's a playlist on KZfaq of someone else doing it if you want to see some of the tech first (along with the general route).

I thouroughly enjoyed the Super Metroid course. Very good adaptation to MM2. It's been at least 20 years since I've played Super Metroid, and watching this is motivating me to dust off the old SNES. It was one of my favorite games when it came out.

That Yoshi/snowball indicator indicator setup was right. Or as good as it could be. You need to throw first, then jump. Mainly to stop Yoshi's forward momentum so that when you land on the mole, the snowball is there. Otherwise it would be shot too fast. I don't think he could've indicated that better. For that specific trick anyway. Maybe use an arrow for the dismount instead, but then it looks weird. Looks like a cool level.
