Two seasons ago, it was going to be 'OUR' year, just like it was going to be 'OUR' year the previous twenty odd seasons. Less than a month in and we're already in a relegation fight. Steve Cooper comes in. Who? I for one didn't know anything about him. Well, it turns out he's a modern day Moses, leading us to the promised land. It also turns out this is his 5th season as a first team manager, three of those in the Championship. He's still learning his trade. We, the supporters, didn't have this kind of relationship with any other manager, even Brian Clough. I know because I'm old enough to remember. Steve Cooper will go on to be a top class manager, whether that's with us or someone else, that remains to be seen, it depends on how trigger-happy Marinakis is. He's already a Forest legend and hopefully will be for many years to come.

The best manager we have seen in decades, be an awful decision to let him go after what he’s done for us. First 3 years in the prem is survival & we are surviving despite the poor run we are on. Get some players in the window who want to have the honour of wearing that shirt.

Cooper is an excellent man manager who so far has performed miracles with us. He works tirelessly to make us better, but sadly some of the players have let him down. I hope he stays as otherwise it will be back to the bad old days of the managerial merry go round! 😢 None of us want that I'm sure. Not only that, Cooper will be snapped up by Palace as their new Manager! Why give them the leg up?

Cooper doesn't get everything right, but he gets Forest more than any other manager we've had in the last 30 years. Backing him instead of sacking him was a masterstroke last season and would be so again right now.

I couldn't give a shit if somebody wants to call me a happy clapper. Let them. I don't support this club for glory. And I certainly don't love it based on its position in any table. My love is unconditional. The past two years have been the greatest (football wise) I have ever known in my 37 years. And it was Cooper who gave me that. And for those reasons, I love him. And with love comes loyalty. I as a man, would rather follow Steve into the Championship, never mind the championship... the gates of hell! Rather than turn my back on him. I don't love him more than I love my club, I love them both.

Cooper was screwed by the recruitment strategy. I think any manager would struggle in the Premier League with that irrational and scattered approach. Cooper seemed to be a great person and I hope he continues to do well in management. I hope the club board learn how to work with the manager on recruitment in the future. Good luck Nuno.
