This looks amazing! I would have preferred Thanos to have been sitting back in his throne with his hands on the armrests though. Just kind of lounging. Think that would have looked better imo.

This is the first time Ive seen Sideshow hands down beat XM. XM won on Venom by far for me (Love the bust, love the big guy), but Sideshow slammed through on Thanos EASILY!

I would say this piece is fantastic in every way! One of the best statues of 2018. XM hands down has the best packaging still. SS should of at least gone all out and doing something special for the packaging. I would say this will be my best piece until when I get XM studios Hulkbuster

Was in the same position before since i really dont collect Statues but i love Thanos. My friend just keep on bugging me to order it and then sent the link when it went up for PO i hesitated for a min or two then just said fuck it so i ordered the Exclusive version.Lo and behold after few mins it was waitlisted! Love this piece. I was fortunate to get him. I've only opened to inspect him but he his still in box. I'm still trying to decide on quality shelving for my statues. I'm relatively new to collecting statues but have amassed a lot in the 2 years I've started collecting

When Dollars and time are spent to attain a certain level of collecting such as this then to me that is a commitment to the hobby and your subscribers, plus the time you commit to managing the collection and getting the content out and the time needed to gain the correct info on these items shows you are committed to your craft. What a great side-by-side review Gem! It's really interesting for me since I only recently discovered GEM Mint Collectibles so I'm going back and watching older videos so when I watch this one I have the knowledge that in the future you sold the seated Thanos (I think you did), so it puts a piece of finality to the piece. I absolutely love the SideShow Thanos. Can't wait for your unboxing of Thanos with Lady Death Statue when you get it. Absolutely love how you hit on the details such as the bio-organic-tech similar to Alien (that art was developed by an epic painter, H.R.Giger - check his work out!). The dark blue paint on the SideShow Thanos is breathtaking!

Eddie Rivera ayy that’s dope man, thanks for the support. I feel you in storage. I just moved from south Florida to West Texas. I had everything in storage for 4 months. I was still buying pieces and keeping them in the apartment, then boxing them back up. This is by far the most dedicated space I’ve ever had for a man cave. It was something that was a must have when buying our first house out here.

Great video. Both are great imo. As a comic lover I still love the XM piece, especially for a comic version of Thanos statue it is still by far the best (way better than the old ss Thanos + Death imo), but the ss throne one has got some of the "movie" presence or "reality" presence (if u understand what I mean), which is something you cannot find on any other versions of Thanos, the feeling is so REAL and 3D (I don't know which words can be used to describe it).

Beautiful man! Should've put my pre order in 😣. But for some reason when you was putting on the arm tests sounded like the material from figures that came with collectors editions from video games 🤔 for some reason I expected the pieces to have some nice weight to it. But looks sick nonetheless

Since you from Texas here at Htwn got mines today and is simply amazing can’t stop looking at it. Paint/sculpt/portraits came out perfect just missing one piece on his chest. Supposed to have 4 gold parts from chest to waist. Should be fixable waiting on SS response. Also have the XM Thanos and love it as well but SS Maquette is just to amazing Statue of the year. Congrats

Gem Mint Collectibles the sculpt on my Thanos is great I definitely don’t want a new body and take the risk that one comes out with issues. I just need that one piece so I can just attach myself looks like it’s not a hassle to fix.

I totally agree with your comparison opinion. I am so glad i did not pick up that XM Thanos. Would have been serious buyers remorse. I understand the XM is more comic accurate,.. but only in costume DESIGN. The colors are off,.. and seriously when did Thanos ever have the Gauntlet AND the Cosmic Cube. Both have liberties taken with them. I am just so glad i was able to secure the SS Thanos. It was expensive as hell.. especially for this poor boy. But as long as it arrives in good condition. It would have been worth it. And he will be the crowning jewel of my collection

I don't think I'll ever collect statutes. I'm more of a action figure collector with the biggest I'll go is like 14 inches. That being said I do admire the art and designs of the statues love watching you set them up and review them. My favorite has the to be the Juggernaut one with Kat. That one looked awesome
