The reason he hates doing nuzlockes is that they're permadeath and stress him out a lot, if he can just rectify a way harder challenge without permadeath so just by grinding more or retrying, it's way less stressful for him and in many challenges, he can even go into character or something.

Times like this make me wish I could suggest a theme for a video(more specifically Pokemon talk) (It's just that they finish the intro, Porygon is the guest, Porygon rambles about how it wasn't him who caused the flashing lights yet he was blamed and it ends with a Mega Squirtle and Bulbasuar forcing Raichu to apologize)

Okay legit, I used a Zorua that I caught as my starter and just did a play through without a starter in Ultra Sun. And I beat Ultra Necrozma with just my Zoroark, because I had a fighting type at the end of my party - so Necrozma kept trying to use Photon Geyser. 10/10 Zoroark.
