100 Hours Of Shooting Practice... Here's What I Learned.
Part 6 of my 100-hour tutorial series is back, and this time it's packed full of shooting tips and tricks! This time I spent 100 hours in shooting training packs, free play and just general gameplay in order to better my shooting skills. This is my master guide on shooting. I hope you can take away from my shooting tutorial and put in the kind of shooting practise that I did while I was training. My rocket league shooting skills are better than ever right now and I hope after watching this tutorial or I guess... guide, that you can take on the shooting tips that I explain, and can then better your own shooting skills. If you have come into this wondering how to shoot in rocket league, I hope you come out with a bunch of shooting tips and tricks to get you up the ranks!
Everyone in rocket league wants to learn how to shoot like the pros at some point in their life. This is the shooting tutorial for you if you are one of those people. Shooting practice and shooting training in rocket league are the two things I have been focused on in the last month... which would explain why I put in 100 Hours Of Shooting Practice... Here's What I Learned.
100 hours of shooting practicing is definitely my favourite 100 hour rocket league videos I have done so far. It has helped me so much with my shooting in rocket league and, although I couldn't really make a shooting guide or a shooting tutorial for you guys, I hope you learn from my rocket league shooting training and drills!
Let me know if you enjoyed this shooting tutorial and if you would like to see more rocket league tips and rocket league tutorial like videos!

@Mojojoey
@Mojojoey 4 жыл бұрын
@@topflight9182 You're not wrong that freeplay is the best to improve mechanics, but learning how to read other players consistently is also important, 1s is the great because you can focus on one player, watch how they play, and learn to counter their play style. I'd say this is a great idea, Thanovic is good enough with mechanics that freeplay won't get him very far compared to playing and learning how to read his opponents quickly. On another note, 1s also give you a great idea of how you stand by yourself, you don't have a teammate to back you up when you make mistakes, so you get to see your biggest flaws and what you need to improve on. Every game mode gives you different possibilities to learn and improve, so I wouldn't be so tunnel visioned to rely solely on one training method.

Loved this video, you earned my sub! However, I have another video idea regarding shooting that I think would be helpful to lower ranked players. I'm at high plat, and I noticed a lot of people in my rank, me included, really only have a few types of shot in their arsenal. Most of the time it is just a forward dodge into the ball. Yet, when I see champ and GC gameplay I see people doing all these weird side and diagonal dodge shots among other different types of shots and I haven't seen too many good tutorials on how and when to use these. The problem with me is I can get great power on my shots, but I can only really do the basic forwards dodge into the ball and its obvious to me that this isn't always the best thing to do as from certain angles they don't really hit the ball accurately towards the net.

@@fr3dcrackyv365 The purpose of my comment was to joke on that sentence, because, in general, if you train hard on something, is quite obvious that you improve and be better at playing, like in this case but it applies in every single aspect of our lives, like playing an instrument or anything else. Also, flip resets or "any flashy moves" are not really important for the gameplay, and i know it. But, since the video was on shooting consistency, your comment was out of context, imho.

at 5:25 that guy was saying how "luck was on your side". I may not know much as a lowly plat, but I noticed that something that made me improve instantly was to realize that RL very rarely has any sort of luck to it (maybe rumble to a certain extent tho). As many GCs and pros probably know, even 50/50s aren't really 50/50s. There is strategy to them. Having the mindset that whenever I get scored is a direct result of something I did wrong or something I should've done better has helped me stop tilting at teammates so much and try to work on positioning more.

Someone just made fun of me yesterday on your air dribble video for not being able to do it in C3, while he can do it in gold. I ended up getting GC last season, and still can't air dribble. I hope people realize that this is the most important video of the 100 hours series so far, because this is the easiest and most effective way to improve and actually rank up. So many gold/plat players think they deserve to be higher rank because they have fancy mechanics, but in the end their shooting accuracy and fundamentals are really lacking, and they don't seem to realize it. Talking about fundamentals, I'd really like to see another video about them. Something like 100 hours of defending would be great, as I find that this is what most people in my games have issues with. I'm not sure how you could practice this properly for 100 hours though, since most training packs just become too easy once you know where the ball is gonna be, and they lack the randomness of real games, but I'm sure you could figure it out!

I’ve focused on shooting for like two days straight with training packs and in freeplay and I gotta say, I was SOOOO much more accurate for the week after. It’s not something I train often but when I did, results were there even after just a few hours each day of practice. Thanks Thanovic.

I've only been playing rocket league for around 3 weeks (30-ish hours in match time and 90-ish game time with practice and afk) and I decided to focus all my time on 1v1 until I'm good enough to easily carry myself out of gold. And the power shot striker pack is the one that has helped me the most. I'm hitting long shots pretty consistently which is super hard for gold's to counter, and easy aerials that goes over their head. Nothing fancy but consistency.

Thanks for the videos, I am very much a bronze 3 right now. I just started playing last weekend. I have gotten into silver 2 but not stayed there. I basically stay in ball cam and have changed my button mapping to R1 boost and so on. My biggest challenge so far is general aiming either on the ground or even just getting to the ball in the air. Currently I am trying to work on shadow defending but find myself going back to 50/50s.

Hi Thanovic, I really enjoyed the shooting video and would love to see you doing these training routines on twitch, in fact I would prefer it to ranked because it has a motivational aspect. If you do this I would make it clear in the title, “We going live” doesn’t really invoke people coming in they want to know what they’re in for. I really enjoy the videos kept it up!

Another way to train shooting and aerials in general, is: 15 minutes of free play 45 minutes of shooting/aerial training packs. Then, go into any game mode that you choose, and that’s the only game mode your gonna play. If you get 3 losses, either turn down for the day or train for an hour once more. This helps mainly ranking up and mechanics

This series is so effective as a learning tool. Thanks for putting in all the hard work brother. Would love to see a mind game/demo/bump video, or maybe even just some ground dribbling. Although if you're leaning towards a round of various pinch shots of be fine with that... Especially if you main the Fennec. Either way, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. #thanKovic
