A+++ work Tharbamar! With regard to both the clear and concise video itself and with the actual speaker build. You're rock-n- roll man, simply rock-n-roll! If you don't mind, there is something I've been wanting to ask to see if you may be able to make a quick video of it. You have made a video of a power cable build, which was great. I've also been wondering, however, if you may have the time to make a quick video regarding the potential sound quality differences amongst different cables and connectors we can choose from when doing a DIY power cable project? The main reason I ask is due to being able to hear such a big difference between your Mogami DIY power cord and your PS Audio power cord. From what I remember, your Mogami power cord was warmer (just as my Mogami RCA cables being slightly warmer than my own RCA ribbon cable design (wires from a very top-tier jewelry supply retailer). Anyway, just something I think may be able to benefit us all. I'd do the work myself, but I have ZERO experience with building a power cable. Thanks for all your work!

I ordered my 2TDX's with the superior crossover components a week ago. I didn't order the flat pack for them. Just to make the project more challenging I decided to build the cabinets from 1 inch thick White Oak instead of MDF or plywood. : ) I will have to tweak the dimensions a little to account for the thicker material. Wish me luck! : ) My Elekit TU-8600S 300B tube amp kit is supposed to arrive today but it hasn't shown up yet. : (

When you buy the flat-pack MDF cabinet from CSS, the speaker and rear port holes are pre-drilled. Flat-pack means the holes are pre-drilled, but each piece must be glued and screwed (not shown in this video).

Now that you know how much effort went in it, or maybe more if you cut then panels yourself, you are in good position to let us know its value compared to other built speakers. Also if you have experience with and can give comparisions with Gr-research kits as they are quite affordable, how much burn-in did you have before the review, 200hrs atleast?

Don't think that foam is much good I would worry about the knobbly bits not gonna do nothing needs to be double the thickness, but I would use natural wool fleece instead folded it over 4 times if it's half an inch thick. Best using the sharp chisel for cutting the veneer but if you using the router you can get break out so wrap a bit of tape around the ball bearing once or twice to give you a bit more overhang of veneer. And definitely use a bit of blue tack as a gasket isolation, round the drivers 6mm bead for the woofers and 4-mm for the tweeter will help a lot. What I would actually do is cut a ring of wood plywood for the opening of the woofer same diameter as a drivers, would be required there to bring the tweeter in line with the woofers, a smaller resistor be required as well afterwards better driver alignment synergy. Midisound sell some good components like binding post. Why don't you just put the Binding post straight into the wood no plate needed Looks nice you done a good job
