Күн бұрынPrasar Bharati Central Archives presents Tharu Tribe, The people living in the Terai lowlands, amidst the Sivaliks or lower Himalayas, generally in the southern part of Nepal and northern part of India. The tribe is known for their love of nature and are worshippers of Theravada Buddhism.
A majority of people from this tribe still live in forest areas, grow their crops and survive on them

Tharus are rich in our Nepal. Educated. We have been believing that the Tharu have their own language, dress, culture, civilization and tradition since time immemorial. There are about 1.5 million Tharus in Nepal, more than India

Badla marriage means exchanging brother and sister in marriage. For example: In your brother wedding you need to marry you sister-in-law' brother( your brother's brother-in-law). It was very common in our culture. Now its very rare.

देखा जाए तो,उत्तराखंड की तराई की मूल जाति ये ही हैं। पर 71 के बाद बांग्लादेशी विस्थापित यहाँ बसा दिए है।

Tharu जनजाती बहुत अच्छी है।।। ये प्रेम भाव से रहते है।।। लेकिन इस vedio में दिखाया गया है कि सरकार ने ये किया सरकार ने खेती के लिए नाले बनवाये।। ये सब झूठ है।।। बात तो ये खेत मे पानी लगाने के लिए बारिश का इंतजार करते है।।। और यदी बारिश ना हुई तो माट्टी फाड़कर पानी निकालते है।। तब जाके यहाँ धान की ऊपज होती है।।
