I remember when I first watched his movies, the thing I found most impressive was the power of silence in key scenes. No blabbering or needless action, just excellent camera work that caught the involved role's frame of mind, and let that speak to the audience, so to say. A thing you rarely find in western movies even nowadays.
It was really good Takeshi rewrote a screenplay and asked camera to shoot the sceneTakeshi's thinking. Anyway, this is a very interesting program to understand Kitano's film.
The first part of music sounds something like Gurdjieff, the mystic, would create. :)))) Takeshi is probably one of the most important men alive in the 21'st century. And I'm from Europe.

@@mazingerz9118 I thought Violent Cop was filmed way before he got into a serious motorcycle accident that butchered his face. According to my memory, the production of HANABI started when he fully recovered.
