I remember watching a doc on the making of ‘late registration’. He talked about how he starts making songs like this, muffled, not making sense, etc. The creative process is different for everyone. He’s really genius producer and arranger. ‘Violent Crimes’ is beautiful and to hear this skeleton of the song just blew my mind.

I got a happy birthday message for my 14th, but when my 15th came around, I waited for one and never got it. I miss him a lot and hope he’s doing well out there in life.
