This is a little animation I worked on throughout late 2021 and early 2022 while learning the ins and outs of Blender. The final render was done in Cycles at 1080p, 500 samples. I wasn't sure if I wanted to share this animation but I thought it might make a good starting point for my channel!
I plan to create more animations in Blender in the future so please consider subscribing if you enjoyed!

It could have displayed a MISS! when shooting yellow Bonk (btw what is blue bonk), but that would make the joke repeat twice

A nice touch here is that this is an MVM map, therefore it’s a map where red and blu would be working together.

@@c0ntriLI'm thinking it has more to do with the playtesters getting confused in the middle of the match, trying to shoot their teammates accidentally, and since it really offered nothing more, they just defaulted to RED team for gameplay reasons. Would've been cool to still have the option, though.

i also liked how engi's scream at the beginning is not as loud as it usually is, using a scope doesnt mean you hear better. this is just so detailed!

I love the detail that the crit-a-cola gets a mini crit effect since when you shoot a scout who uses one they get mini crit.

Well! A simple and pleasant animation. Well done. I've seen a lot of tutorials and resources recently for doing TF2 Blender animations. I wonder if we're headed towards Blender anims over sfm anims.

probably so… SFM is really limiting compared to blender’s systems and blender is way more efficient with viewing scenes.

SFM is a real workhorse, but its old. Starting to REALLY feel its age, especially in comparisons. Blender is easier to use and improves frequently. When you compare doing the same scene in Blender to SFM... Blender gives double the quality for a third the work. I mean, my first time loading up a map in SFM (so that I could export it to Blender) took me nearly thirty minutes to figure out. IMO the only reason to still use SFM is if you have a potato PC that can't run Blender.

out of all mercs, i could imagine sniper and engi being this friendly to one another. like, they do rely quite a lot on each other sometimes. not like engi and pyro but still.

Great stuff! Movement's a bit slow, but I can tell you've got a great sense for key frames and rhythm, and it's overall very charming. I really like animations that use TF2's big voice clip library to make something organic-sounding, I feel like I somehow don't see it as often as I'd expect. Keep it up!

This looks really great! It's crazy how HD it looks compared to SFM. The facial animations definitely look a lot more stiff compared to SFM's however, but overall looks like HD TF2.
