That’s one of my biggest problems…when it isn’t coming out exactly as I envisioned, I give up and start over. And Over. And over…That’s absolutely beautiful. Very inspiring. Thanks for the tips!
@LironYan2 жыл бұрын
Thank YOU 😊🙏🏼 A big factor is perseverance, the number of paintings I wanted to give up on... but ended up working out...! You can do this!

This is exactly me. Now Im starting all over again because of one mistake that led me to the second one
@marisajane7229 Жыл бұрын
@@skyscraper417 it’s so frustrating isn’t it? I’ve been really deeply reflecting on what that’s all about and I’ve come to realize that it has to do with this anxiety I have about needing to appear perfect and control the way I come across to others. I did the same thing in college with my grades. I HAD to get straight A’s. It wasn’t that I was trying to prove that I was smart to other people, but it was more about proving my worth to myself based upon controlling the feedback I got from others. I’m not sure if this resonates with you or not but I figured I’d throw it out there. I’m really trying to let go of that need to be perfect and to find the value in exploring the process and being deliberate about my brushstrokes. I also have a tendency to overwork my paintings- again I think it’s connected to having that rigid expectation that it has to be a certain way.

I was the same but for some advice that a lady in my art class gave me. She said, keep going even though you don't think you like it. I started a painting of two women going to the beach along a path between high grass on both sides. I hated it. I was wanting to give up but didn't because of her advice. Now it's one of my best paintings and have it sitting in my main dining room area. Don't give up. You never know what it will turn out like. Another bit of advice that I can give is that if you are copying another picture and it doesn't look like the original, it doesn't matter because it's your own work. If you don't see the two together, you won't know the copy is not like the original. You have your own take on the original.

Respect for the music choice! I love the Spanish Romantic classical guitarists, but aside from Tárrega (the absolute lad, the legend), Albéniz (especially that piece), & Villa-Lobos definitely are among my favorites. Nice short & beautiful work as always. And yeah, I’ll have to tag you if I make a video about that theory I mentioned in the previous comment the other day. 😁

Just simply amazing the way you work with that magical brush of yours, really admirable. It looks authentic, is it Chinese bamboo brush? If it is, it actually required real raw skills ‘Kung fu’..lol to know how to work with it. Kudos, you got it and really well done. 👍🏻👏🏻✨

How long did it take? Often times I always let the drawing rest/dry and days add up to it :/.

This one took about 2.5 hours if I recall correctly, was taking it a bit slow (:

And that’s not including drying time! At least 30-40 minutes between the different layers. Got to have patience ☺️ (it’s a challenge for many, I know)
