By the age of 25, Rodtang has scored over 250 wins, claimed 3 prestigious belts and set several records in ONE. The Iron Man has held the Asian promotion’s title for almost 4 years, justifying his nickname over and over again. It's time to enjoy the reign of the Thai Tyrant, who rightfully bears the crown as the best Muay Thai fighter at present.

@@utenatenjou2139 you really think rodtang is too dumb to not know that he can tap in chokeholds? he just chooses not to tap because his unbreakable will wouldn't let him, just like what khabib said to conor "go to sleep, why you tap". fighters like rodtang and khabib would never tap they'd rather go out giving it their all
@utenatenjou2139
@utenatenjou2139 10 ай бұрын
@@Jangz_ No, I don't think that it is about intelligent or bravery at all. The closest that I can come up with is at a point under choke hold he didn't have awareness to tap out, which I think it can be harmful to any combatants. In fact the ref. should stop it before he lost consciousness. I do believe that bravery was already demonstrated that Rod Tang and his team agree to fight in this rules. What should be taught before the match is the combatant should know when to tap out if he/she can't solve any choke he was under and left it for the ref. Same go for any striker to forfeit if he is unable to defense him/herself. Different in tell-sign in grappling arts can be seen clearer, as upset come-back is rarely happen, due to progression of a choke often slower compared to an stray come-back shot.

@@babbyyellow8748keep in mind Muay Thai has resistance to takedowns unlike other striking martial arts. He’d most definitely win against any striker, and would actually have a chance against grapplers. Keep in mind they have to be quick and get into a position where they can go for the takedown. Rodtangs reaction time is insane. So it won’t be easy by any means BJJ has the best chance of winning I’d say

Not to mention almost every single major Muay Thai fighter began fighting to help their family survive.

Love Rodtang! He is the reason I started watching Muay Thai and has given me interest in watching other Muay Thai fighters as well. Tbh I am most excited for Rodtang matches than I am for Title fights lol and I'm a MMA fan first .

Don't forget that he started at the age of 8, muay thai fighters are "older" than their age, don't know how his brain is right now, but ONE FC made his career and life easier with fewer fights than a classic Muay Thai fighter

What are you on about??? An Aura reminiscent of mythical athletes bla bla bla 🤣. He is one of many, nothing to special for a Muay Thai Champion. There have been many great Muay Thai Champions over the years. 300+ fights is not so special in Thailand guys. Its ok you guys like the guy, but keep it real. He is a good Muay Thai Fighter.

I saw an interview of him where he was interviewed at home. He is so shy, very polite, and adores his wife so much. Besides, he has the highest respect for his mother. It is so amusing watching this clip and thinking of him outside the ring.

if rodtang would trained in submission he would be a unbeatable opponent… the only and biggest weakness in these muay thai fighter is that they can’t defend the submission… if rodtang was rounded in jiu jitsu , grappling, he would be super hard to beat…he’s a beast and respectful
@sagoeedmundkojo
@sagoeedmundkojo 10 ай бұрын
I agree. Fighting styles were designed around philosophies. This one is about taking more punishment than your opponent can give and give more punishment than they can take. And finishing it all as quickly as possible. The submission is more patient and endearing, a luxury their warriors didn't have in times past on the battle field, especially when outnumbered. Hence the modern adaptation till this day.

@@sagoeedmundkojo most people with brains would agree with us, but you’ll see some idiots whom doesn’t even know how to fight that’s the best fighter can beat a jui jitsu submission fighter, but in reality even the best can’t defend the submission… look at rodtang, he’s a beast hardest and truly talented fighter, but look what happen when he fought mighty mouse?! ironman was doing great when he was fighting the mma muay thai rules and as soon as they they grappling submission rules mighty mouse submitted him easily… more examples look at those beast fighters like dagestani fighters they’re taking over the ufc because of superior samba, grappling, wrestling, and submission skills..

I do like how in this fight 12:50 you notice that Rodtang is in a huge disadvantage because of height since the champion can just keep his range and keep pushing him out and Rodtang is trying to find a way to counter. But after a certain point he adapted and is willing to trade blows instead to move in closer.

Maybe he can take up the legacy of the Giant Killer from Saenchai, but dude used to fight people WAY bigger than him. Rodtang is in my rotation of favorites right there with Buakaw, Saenchai, and Tawanchai. def 4 of my favorites to watch highlights of.
