It felt like he was not allowed to say it just because they are women and he is a men, because when has someone ever reacted that way when an analyst has said something similar to a mens team? Never! At least not that I've heard it. The way she reacted just implies that this team cannot handle criticism, which I'm sure they are more than capable of. And I'm also sure that they were disappointed with their performance and that they want to improve, so why would they even want to celebrate a not well played match? That reaction felt so out of place. Oh and as she said as well, they have played good matches before, which is probably the reason the other analyst said that he was disappointed with their performance, as he was expecting a better match from them.

At the end of the day no matter what or who you are if you’re in a competitive LAN event with the whole shibang, regardless of the prize pool, all of your previous results doesn’t matter, you’re there and in the present. So should the analysis be! If you’re a professional you should be able to withstand your co-host dishing out some obvious issues about your favorite team or player🤷🏽‍♂️❄️

She should be barred from ever working an event ever again, with this sort of freak out, over the most regular analasys I have ever heard. She should also be aware, that none of the points she made, for them working hard, matter that much. Online wins don't matter, this has been the case for 20 years now. Lan is everything, and if you can't accel in that environment, you are not a good enough player (yet). North America is the second weakest region. This has been the case for nearly 20 consecutive years. Therefore, your peeny qualifying tournament is nothing to be praised over. Maybe a small congrats, but nothing more, especially when you can't perform in the important game. This is the case with big teams like the former number one heroic roster. Being number one in the rankings don't matter at all, if you achieve it by winning nothing, and just making semi deep runs every time. The same applies to this tier 7 team she is ranting about. This is the most out of line analyst I have ever seen in all my years of following the pro scene, and it is beyond acceptable. I hope she never gets offered to work an event again.

A commentator and analyst is not obliged to play CS stronger than those whom he comments on, although if you put a real analytics studio from men’s tournaments where former pro players play against the women’s champions, it will all end 13-0 and not in favor of the women’s champions. Fans' expectation of struggle and competition is a normal expectation from a competitive game. She simply does not understand how normal people should communicate, much less those who are under the lens of cameras.

Nothing ashamed about something you are unfamiliar with. But the female host has to do better. The analyst only criticizes the GAME. Nothing personal. This is the same for any type of competition. Sports, Esports or even pro chess or go. You play for the audience and viewers invest valuable free time to watch your match/ game/ competition. You are expected to fight and compete. Getting destroyed is not acceptable in any league for any team. This is fucked that the female host was even eligible for talking on that desk.
